I did drink, one night on new year's i drank so much alchohol. Shot's, vokda, whiskey. I downed it one by one. Later on that night i ended up having a threesome with two strangers then having a pregnancy scare with one of the girl's.

It taught me two lessons. Use protection and never drink again. Now, i can not even sniff any spirits without feeling sick. After a pint of beer i also feel sick and developed some sexual morals.

Now i spend my new year's inside playing the Xbox with friends or Poker.

We might not agree all that often but in this we definitely do. Drinking and clubbing was fun...while it lasted. From the teen years to when I was 23 or so and met my fiancé....still feel like drinking and partying at times but it's just not the same. People around me getting married and having kids and stuff...feels kind of hollow to obsess about drinking and partying.

As for pot...people doing it, do us all a favor and shut the hell up about it in MMOs. Like for real. The only thing your bragging does is make you look like complete losers who are desperately trying to look cool. Nobody. Cares. Seriously.

As for doing game related stuff when drunk....yeahhh, ummm. The point in drinking for me is to go out. Like out out. Like AFK. The hell away from the computer and indoors. I might use some phrases heard  in games if they fit the situation but usually I just don't.

Edit: Oh and all the "drinking is stupid, only idiots do it" QQ...if they wanna do it, let em. As long as they're being responsible about it. Bragging about it is incredibly stupid though, I agree.

Good for you. I regret some actions due to alchohol. I now stay away from the bastard stuff, along with drug's and smoking. I got beaten up by a group of drunks, had my drink spiked then beaten up again and got into trouble due to alchohol. I hate it so much now.

My dad was so close to dying this new year's gone by, if it was not for a man walking his dog, he would not be here now.

Wow, there are so many people who don't drink here...Nerds are f*cking lame!  I go out dancing and get trashed at least every weekend and I've never ended up in any unfortunate situations like the ones y'all are describing. And no, I don't do it because I think it makes me "cool", or because it's "confidence juice" or w/e else, I do it because it's so much goddamn fun. Y'all just need to loosen up a bit

Anyway, OT, I once danced like ME2 Shepard at a club. All. Night. And let me tell you, that sh*t could fly in a straight bar but in a gay club, I stuck out like a sore thumb. My bf started pretending not to know me near the end of the night  That's about the only mass effect related drunk thing I've done...

Something always goes wrong when i drink. It's almost a 6th sense, i predict that night goes wrong and it does! I guess i would drink a little if it was just 5 of us at home but outside the house? No.

The irony of the fact that I don't drink is that back on my 18th, my college dorm friends gave me a shirt with an arrow pointing upwards saying INSERT BEER HERE. In fact I'm wearing it right now.

Meh, I quit drinking while I was in the Army. Didn't like the way it made me feel. Never did anything stupid though. Too much of a lightweight to reach that point.

@Ivandra Ceruden: I've never slept with a stranger while drunk and am fully aware of consequences while drunk. I never go drinking alone, and have others to watch out for me if I have a lapse in judgement.
@Sternchen: I can have fun while sober, and do. That does not mean that getting drunk is not also fun. Why do you think they are mutually exclusive?

Not too much. I  would go to frat parties just to steal people's stuff.

I don't drink that often, I'm not a fan of beer so going to the pub or club and drinking pint after pint is not something for me. I like spirits, but I'm picky so the cheap rubbish that you'd get in a bar to get drunk I won't like and the better quality spirits are not something to throw back.

I'll go to bars, clubs or pubs if I'm with some friends, but I don't often drink so I don't always stay long unless I'm catching up or having a good time with people.

When I do drink it's usually with dinner, wine or maybe a nice 10-15 year unblended whisky in the evening every so often.

I only got hungover twice, years ago when I was 18. I mixed types of drink and woke up with a rather bad headache and felt ill for the rest of the day, I wasn't eager to repeat the experience, so I didn't.

I don't get drinking that often anymore as most of my mates live a 2 hour bus journey away or just outside the city meaning someone has an awkward journey to make. Not all that fussed as my last few nights out have been fairly awful, culminating in the new years incident.
