Hello everyone.
I run a 64 bit windows 7 professional system that will not install dragon age origins ultimate edition.
During installation it sits on this file called Dragon age failed to install extracting campaign vo english rar.
Then eventually stops and says dragon age has failed to install.
Which is the best way of getting this game from going?

Thanks
James

Find the "Read First" sticky, third from the top. Read it. Follow the guide to writing a report if the discussion hasn't already answered what you need to know.

Among the referenced FAQs is the fact that the Disk Check software can on occasion cause conflicts with DVD drives that have WRITE capability.  You can borrow an external Read-only drive, you can install from another PC across a peer to peer cable (ad hoc LAN), if the other PC's DVD doesn't generate conflicts.  If you run an actual LAN at home, use a hard wired connection to both PCs.

You can often copy into a folder on your hard drive, and have the ordinary OS "copy" getting cleaner results than the regular installer does.

Mate I tried to see the same similar problem but couldn't find anything useful.
But this is the issue.
I have the ultimate edition of dragon age origins, which has came out as an retail DVD.
My system is an i7 quad core, gtx 475 graphics card, with 6 gigs of ddr3 ram. My OS is a genuine 64 bit windows 7 professional. No third party mods.

Its stuck on this file whilst installing. Dragon age failed to install extracting campaign vo english rar

I am not sure what I can do to get this game working. I am out of ideas.

Tried running install as admin? Is it a retail or download version? Is your system set to English or another language? (strange question i know but just go along with this one XD)

But seriously just right click on the install file and click "run as admin" it's usually the magic key for everything.

There could be a few causes for this. Are you installing on a DVD burner? You'll have to search the forums, but some people have reported a problem with some DVD burners properly reading the disc. You might try copying the entire contents of the DVD to your hard drive, then running the install from there.

Otherwise, there may be an issue with some other program running in the background that is conflicting with the installer, I suppose.

If none of that works, I suggest contacting EA Tech support directly at help.ea.com.

Hello
Yes I have a blu ray dvd burner. I will try copying the contents of the dvd into a folder then install from there.

Will get back to you to see if it has done anything.
Thanks for the help so far.
