Don't know if this has been brought up yet, because I just started on this forum...
I was at Best Buy the other day and saw a magazine with some shots from ME3. Super exciting, yeah? So, I flipped through and found this image:
http://xbox360.ign.c...9105240157.html
The magazine specifically stated that this turian was Garrus... but there are no scars and the face paint is all weird. What's the deal?
Does Garrus get new face paint? I'm confused

Garrus got a make over? I thought it was stated in a tweet or in a magazine that his facial scars had healed by ME3?

That is not Garrus. Most probably a Turian general or something. Looks like they are planning something.

Maybe, but I've seen screens like this as well:

In other images he's shown with scars that have healed up a bit, but his face markings don't change. There's supposed to symbolize the colony a turian is born in, so I don't know why those would change.

@outmane
That's what I was thinking! I wish I had a scan of that magazine... they totally messed up! They pointed out Liara and Shep, but also had a caption above the turian saying it was Garrus. I was just surprised that it hasn't caused a scene somewhere else. I know how fans (including me) are about characters, lol

That article kind of had no idea what the hell it was talking about. The turian in that picture has neither the same facial markings nor the same pigmentation as Garrus does; it's like they just went "TURIAN STANDING NEXT TO SHEPARD IT MUST BE GARRUS." Which is pretty funny, in retrospect.

The first picture is not Garrus.
The second is Garrus, but his face paint has not been changed. He got new armor and removed the bandages. There might be some missing areas of the face paint where his scars are though. You can see that in ME2 Garrus as well.

Whew... so glad it was just the magazine screwing up. I'm all for minor changes in characters, but that would have been ridiculous.

Yeah, they just can't tell one turian apart from another.
Doesn't one of the Citadel store owners say this about humans, that all turians look the same to us?

'You humans are all racist!' is the only proper response to that caption.

Remember - Garrus is always black and blue.

Remember guys, Garrus is the one with that kick ass visor. Ignorant magazine.
