Well, it was a while ago and may have been hearsay based on that comment a dev made about "it's war, there's no time for romance" or something to that effect. But I thought someone said there weren't "love scenes," as it were, at all in this one.

I kind of doubt it. You know how crazy people are about their ingame LI's. Tis' but a dream.

First of all, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it shouldn't be in a game, because, alot of other people like it, and this is 100 percent optional, you don't get any extra perks, it's not holding you back at all. Some people, i'd actually say, a large majority of people like this part of the game, it's fun, and it immerses you more, and builds more of a emotional connection to the player, yes, it may be different for you, but for alot of people, it's true. Your entire view on this is incredibly selfish, there are always people who don't like certain things, if we catered to them, we'd have absolutely nothing. And for you to say these scenes are '' extreme '' or resemble '' porn '' in any way, is extremely exaggerated. But hey, killing, beating, and almost everything else you can think of is ok, but a pg-13 intimate scene is bad. I really hope you're trolling bud.

The love scenes in Mass Effect 2 are badly done. They feel like a teenage boy wrote and directed them.

Your original statement was that they were far too vulgar, but now they've been done by some horny teenager?  I don't think YOU even know what you're talking about.

I don't remember EVER calling them too vulgar. They are humping while clothed. How is that vulgar at-all?

I honestly dont think games need to show the sex scenes anyway. You can have romances in games without resorting to that. Welkin and Alicia's relationship in Valkyria Chronicles was a great romance. And they didn't show them having sex.

Baldur's Gate 2 had romances that didn't show the sex scene either. Both excellent games. I don't know why Bioware insists on these subpar pixel sex.

Over exaggeration. The sex scenes are almost as long as ME1 and they usually fade to black rather quickly. If you think this is actual animated porn then you haven't been on the internet too long or even watched much TV. This is barely R rated movie material. 

Bioware has been doing romance in many of their games. The sex scenes aren't needed just like how romances aren't needed but are their to show where their relationship has culminated in. Its there because it is part of the romance. It isn't porn and to call it porn is just stupid (sorry) sometimes its corny and cheesy to most people but then again if it is so unimportant then why bother watching the 30 seconds of hugging, kissing and maybe some grinding then fade to black? Just skip it if is so unimportant to you.

If it offends you then the only thing we at BSN are going to say to you is deal with it.

They're hardly PG-13. ME1 was somewhat closer to R, but still incredibly tame.
