Over exaggeration. The sex scenes are almost as long as ME1 and they usually fade to black rather quickly. If you think this is actual animated porn then you haven't been on the internet too long or even watched much TV. This is barely R rated movie material.

Bioware has been doing romance in many of their games. The sex scenes aren't needed just like how romances aren't needed but are their to show where their relationship has culminated in. Its there because it is part of the romance. It isn't porn and to call it porn is just stupid (sorry) sometimes its corny and cheesy to most people but then again if it is so unimportant then why bother watching the 30 seconds of hugging, kissing and maybe some grinding then fade to black? Just skip it if is so unimportant to you.

If it offends you then the only thing we at BSN are going to say to you is deal with it.

I must admit. My first post must have some sort of hidden meaning I am unable to detect. Why does everyone think that my post is about how vulgar the scenes are? I don't find them vulgar at all. nor do I think it's porn.

"Pixel porn" line was just a joke. it's obviously not porn and I don't think anyone honestly gets off to that sort of thing. However, I do think that the scenes are badly done. They don't have to be completely nude, or fade to black to be done well. Or artfully. I think Bioware needs to rely on suggestive telling for those scenes instead of showing us everything. When I watch the Miranda Sex scene, I do not think it's the relationship being culiminated. I think it's the fanservice. The Developers slapped together a sex scene so some little teenage wanker can get off. I don't find it particularly well done.

Finally, what is with this "just ignore it". I thought this was a forum, where we discuss topics and ideas. If this topic bothers you. then YOU just ignore it.

Just skip them! The Square (PS3) or X (360) will skip every cutscene, including the "naughty" ones. I'm sure the PC has an equivalent button.

If not, mute, close your eyes, leave the room, etc. It's a M rated game, and the scene is entirely avoidable. It's not like they're done in a disrespectful, crude manner.

Well. Why can't Bioware just make better cutscenes or if they are unable, not make them at-all? I don't see how your position is anymore valid than mine. Except you're under the illusion that it is more valid.

...Wow. I was willing to respect your opinion for a while, but now you're just purposely out for a fight.

Someone really has to explain this to me. Where in my post am I attacking them? What I said was fact. She/he then responded to my post by going "IT IS MORE VALID CAUSE BLAH BLAH". It was not an attack.

 Not in that way

It's not that I'm a prude or anything. It's just these scenes are tasteless.

I know whats going to happen at the end, she's going to grind on his pelvic bone in engineering and It's really hard to watch. Do people actually enjoy watching this?

and Jacob's is worse. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse.

Ironic how most people complain about how little there was.

I'm sorry but this a game for adults why cant it be treated as such.

I don't see what's so crazy about the request. I do think the pixelated team america thing going on is a little tacky. It's not a matter of just skipping it either, that's like if the ending had a hoedown with the whole cast and if you didn't like it you should just skip that too.

Granted I've never heard of this Zeel person, don't follow this forum very closely.

I'm not even going to bother continuing. You still haven't explained why you hate them as much as you do. If I were to ask you'd just say that they're cheesy and stupid.

Also, what the hell is your problem? Was it necessary to be hostile?

They are cheesy and stupid. They're a bunch of pixels humping each other for almost 3 minutes. What more explanation is necessary? I understand that this is suppose to be the climax of the relationship but I do think Bioware can do a better job than 3 minutes of pixel porn.

I was no more hostile than you. You came in told me how petty my concerns were, while misrepresenting my argument. I deflect once and you think I'm attacking you? Is all of BSN like this?

They're hardly PG-13. ME1 was somewhat closer to R, but still incredibly tame.

Never even said PG-13 I said barely R.

You never grinded against someone you're about to have sex with. Please tell me you at least touch each other *before* you're naked? That's the fun part.

I'm sorry you feel sex is oookie? Just don't pursue a relationship if you don't want to see things that people in a relationship (a healthy one at least) do. It's true sex isn't the most important thing in a relationship, but the fact is it's a pretty damn big part of it, and the vast majority of relationships wouldn't work very well without it.

Its an escape
its fantasy wish fullfillment and I for one love it.  Yes even Jacob's lameness was fun because its new terriritory.  I have my fun little marios and Megamans for the kid in me I'm grown up enough to know better.

Yes I believe you are being very much a prude.  Sex that isn't happening to you yet your watching it by its very nature is cheesy lets just delete all 80s action movies while we're at it just cause you don't want to see it. :P

I like some of the scenes while others just simple look cheesy. What I don't get is that you only post specific scenes that you don't like and wish to axe them all which makes absolutely no sense and would be completely unfair to the majority.

If you feel ashamed about sex in that way then its a problem you're having and not the game.

Most of my friends have played the game and enjoyed it to some degree.  If anything the only cheesy part of any of it is that they aren't naked by the time their groiny thats the embarressing part.

You pointed out the validity of my side vs. yours, which I never mentioned in the first place. But really, why can't you just press a button to skip it? Why want them removed? Most people do like them.
We could look at this as an analogy... I hate Call of Duty. Let's say that I wanted Activision to stop making them because I think they're awful games, or I want them to be changed to RPGs because I find RPGs good. Many people like CoD, and I could just as easily pass on playing them, but instead I make an issue of wanting them changed... What good does it do, really, when it's easier on my part to fix the problem by avoiding the games?

What, specifially, don't you like about them? You've stated you don't find them overly vulgar, and you don't want them more explicit... So what's the problem? Too cheesy? So are 98% of romantic comedies out there.

If this was a game like Catherine whose main plot focused on romances, I could see more reason for you arguing your point (however futile it may be). But this is an action war game, and the plot will reflect as much. Romances are about equivalent to a side-quest, for all they matter to the outcome.

I guess my problem is... I don't see the logic in this.

Titanic can easily be seen as a great movie. I bet the whole sex thing made it awful huh?

Plus just say that ME has a sex scene that barely shows any nudity. It is such a inconsequential part of the game that if you really feel bothered about it well then to bad. Good job missing out on a great game.

Well you explain to me then what the hell that abomination is for, then? Again, it's a tackless slapped together 'love scene'. DO you honestly think that represents Shepard's and Miranda's relationship?

My main problem is how bad it's done. I've seen sex scenes done well. It can be done. Bioware just doesn't do it.

Well I don't even think Tali and Garrus should be romanceable. Jack's is cheesy. Miranda's is bad. Jacob's is the worst. Thane is bad. bad. bad. bad. Am I missing someone?

I love the movie Titanic, but I hate the sex scene. So you know what I do, every time? I skip it, with the little "Skip Ahead" button on my remote (or, rather, the R1 button on my PS3). Takes me just a few seconds, and doesn't detract from the movie. It's almost like magic :wizard:
