You assume she's ugly.
You assume Shepard only cares about looks if she is ugly.
Knowing that Shepard still cuddles with her afterwards...he obviously liked something there.

Wait, I've got it now; Daeel is Donnstar and Zeel's love child. Hence the name. It makes so much sense. It must be hard, being the offspring of two trolls.
And what are you? The unloved ginger step child?
oh man where's the popcorn when you need it?

You don't have to follow a romance sidequest... If you find the idea of two consenting adults of various species expressing their love physically then you can just ignore it altogether.
Yet what should be a passionate and steamy love scene is more or less polygons grinding against each other
It lacks a certain atmosphere and style. It's robotic and cheezy.

It's more about the principle of the thing - I care about these characters and want them to be happy - whether they're represented by polygons or not doesn't change anything.

Considering that their not real polygons on a screen is the only way to get there.

First rule of BSN: Don't ever speak anything but praise toward Bioware romances. There's even a subforum dedicated to them. You don't wanna mess with some of the fanatics around here, or you'll end up like a victim in Saw.
Though the OP is doing a poor job of trying to communicate his point, I agree that the "romance scenes" can be pretty awkward. There is room for improvement. Personally, I thought certain scenes, like Miranda's, looked like someone trying to reinact softcore basic cable scenes with action figures. I thought Garrus' was pulled off really well though.
I am presenting my position very well thank you very much. It's the audience...
It's the easiest way they can push it to get the thread locked. They do it to threads which have topics they don't care for. It's a very successful troll attempt and you'd probably be better off accepting defeat rather than think you'll get any actual, honest discourse. At the very least you'll be spared any more aggravation.

No you misunderstand me. I do not want them to be more vulgar. I want them to either do fade to black. (GOD I MISS FADE TO BLACK) or get rid of them entirely.
Plus. I've been on the internet long enough to know where to get my own pornography. Thank you very much.
You don't want them to be vulgar?!

Agreed, this "We have sex now -> fade too black" was really bad, they should do it like they did in ME1 (and maybe put a bit The Witcher 2 in it), that was far better.Daeel wrote...
It's just these scenes are tasteless.

@Daeel....I'm still waiting for you to tell us how you would of written everyone's romance scene. Your complaining about it but I have yet to hear you describe in detail how you think each of the romance scenes should of gone. Also don't forget you have to make it tasteful so you can satisfy the fan bases. If you don't write each of the romance scenes correct I'm sure someone can open a thread about how they didn't like your romance scenes you wrote for each character.
When I am being paid to write games I'll make sure to do a tasteful sex scene for you.

10 seconds of PG-13 dry humping before fade-outs is tasteless? Does not compute.
I think OP is vieing for a wedding cutscene first, before the bed-romping... or atleast dinner and a movie...
To add to the discussion:
ME1: A much more personal experience, and it felt like, if you survived the last mission, your romance had built something deep and lasting with your LI. Well, in ME2, Ash and Kaidumb kinda mess that image up, Kaiden waaaaaaay more, but at least Liara redeems herself in LOTSB.
ME2: It feels much more like things are moving so fast around you that you are having more of a fling than building something to last, yet when** you survive the suicide mission, and talk to your LI``, the words you have with them make it seem to have actually run much deeper. I found this a genius move by Bioware, and very satisfying, and it let me forgive their over-site of no Garrus/Tali LI in ME1, even though it still causes pain when I play-through ME1.
ME3: I'd really just like any and all relationships from all three games to mature, and have satisfying conclusions. I'd be happy with a parting of the ways even, because everyone likes to watch sad stories unfold too, I cant be the only one who cried during Toy Story 3 or UP, and those were great stories. I trust Bioware to deliver, just as they have in the past. My first play-through of ME2, Tali was the only one to die in the SM. I was soooo sad, and she wasn't even my LI. Bioware is good at what they do, and I think that you should all have a little more faith in them.
**(or if, for you either retarded, or sadistic players)
``(should your LI have lived through the Suicide mission)
