To be honest, I go with Isabella the most, to ensure I get the invite to her ship...it gives Hawke the best way out of Kirkwall.
Still kind of wonder if Hawke could romance Cassandra in DA3.

I disagree, I think the number of romances is fine, because it makes for better replayability.

Sylvanaerie, have you wondered why Hawke has romance dialog options with Aveline? It seems like a waste of time, since Aveline only wants Donnic.sylvanaerie wrote...
She will also invite Hawke to join her if he doesn't romance her. And if he is in a romance with Merrill, and Hawke mentions her, she will invite Merrill along too. I have heard (though never seen it because I can't bring myself to romance him) she will also do this if Hawke is in a relationship with Anders as well. This is my 'canon' ending for the game. The whole idea of sailing away on her ship to exotic ports of call just really appeals to me.
I think I may have been a pirate in a previous life...

Wow, thanks for that, I didn't know she gave Hawke a kiss.sylvanaerie wrote...
ROFL I LOVE that quest, it's my favorite one in the game!
If you take all the flirt options, and then the diplomatic choice at the end, she will give you a smooch. I thought it was kind of odd that Hawke might be harboring a 'secret' crush on Aveline. Not that it matters, she's completely oblivious to Hawke. In my head (RP) it's just my Hawke being silly with Aveline, trying to make Donnic jealous so they will end up together (though Hawke doesn't seem too happy at the end).

I sort of thought that Aveline considers Hawke unapproachable, seeing as how she is so protective of him.

Really? I think it's perfectly okay for companions to actually have lives NOT revolving around Hawke and that it's perfectly fine if they hook up with someone else in the party. How on Earth can you declare that it's "too much." Personally, I'd feel sorry for any NPCs being stuck with someone who's apparently as jealous/possessive as you are of characters...in...a...game.
How silly of the writers to give the NPCs personality traits and experiences that might conflict with a fan's head canon.motomotogirl wrote...
You aren't exactly allowed to foster head canon (which is part of the RPG experience) when the writers ruin that for you.
