I suggest people read the thread, especially the first few pages, before posting about the subject.
The listing on IMDB is obviously a joke. The name of the character is a British comedian's. And anyone can add listings to IMDB. And the British Sniper really doesn't sound much at all like Sean Bean. And there's no reason to think the British sniper is even in the actual game.

I think it would be a total mind F if this whole time the Vega we've been hearing turns out to be a place-holder and Sean Bean's voice comes out when he first speaks. I think I would actually suddenly care about Vega, and actually *want* to speak to him and hear his story.
On the flip side, being associated with Sean Bean characters, he's doomed obviously.

First thing I thought of after seeing this thread was to rewatch that trailer. As for it sounding "different", that could depend on the recording method. There where a few voices in other games (ME series included) that I thought I recognised a bit, but it wasn't until after I looked up the characters' VA's that I realized who they were. My bet is on Sean Bean as Nigel Fishnchips.
The Big Ben Sniper is not Sean Bean. I recognise the voice from other VO work on UK tv, such as documentaries or adverts. I know it, but cannot place it, and it is maddening to me. But not Bean, for sure. He has a bit more timbre in his voice. Even when he talks posh, like, you can't take the Yorkshire out of his voice.
Trying to think of who it could be, but only Richard Armitage pops up (Thorin Oakenshield), and it's not him either.
This - the dude's from Sheffield and you can't hear any of it in Big Ben. I'd be pretty surprised if that really was him. To be honest, I thought Big Ben's accent was closer to Simon Pegg's deep gruff voice he occasionally does (though we know it's not him).
Big Ben is Deffinatly not Sean Bean, as said before Bean has a distinct South Yorkshire accent, and besides what would be the point of hiring a guy like Sean Bean who has a great voice just for him to change his accent. would not make any sence

The Big Ben kinda sounds like and looks a bit similar to Jason Statham, but only baout 60% sure on that one.
