One thing you do not like about Dragon Age: Origins.

The fact that I can't expand my quickbar vertically (I think this is esp. annoying for Magi...)

-I really do not like the manual. I'm enjoying the game a lot but I would appreciate it even more if there was a manual where combate rules and combat mechanichs are explained in some detail. I like the "try and see" approach of the design team, I like the fact that without combat log then min/maxing is less useful... but I would love to understand the mechanins behind the game since tactics/strategy are the essence of DA:O while now I'm playing on my guesses and the things that I've experienced and that seems to work most of the times.

Too short,, of course if I could get my DLC to work that opinion may change.

the few opportunities to charm your companions, and the fact you have to sit through so much dialog for a plus 1. I get that its hard to get so many different people (all of whom are eccentric) to like you, but there should be brownie points everytime you guide your party to victory - especially when your initial decisions were frowned upon despite being most painfully obvious way to go (where's the f-ing fire sten, wtf is your god damn hurry all the time - let's all just go bum rush the hoarde now, all 7 of us - dickweed)
For the most part I find the characters interesting, engaging, and memorable, but without knowing ahead of time what their reactions are I constantly ****** them off - and i get it most of the time, but sometimes they are dumb as rocks. Why does this bother me? Because Sten and Morrigan are way cooler than the rest as cute as Leliana can be, and funny as Alistair can be, they are usually obnoxious, yet they always agree with me and Sten and Morrigan whine and I find myself wanting to tell them all to ****** off I'll do it on my own
Long story short, I have a love hate relationship with every character in the game

What really grinds my gears is the loot system. Its quite poor in my opinion. The items from locked chests make me
and it seems that the only way to get a good item is to buy it. The worst part about it all is that no one even knows if this is intended or that they simply didnt have enough time or resources to better the system.
Ohhh and dont get me started on the leather/cloth item models, specially the helmets.

The lack of an interactive ****house, complete with proper nude skins.
Jokes aside, my grief is the more common complaint about the ridiculous lack of any spell descriptions. Having made and sold gladiator characters in WoW, I can say that I am utterly vexed that i cannot make my character leveling calculations with solid numbers, and instead have to guess "this skill increases your defense (thats all you need to know, apparently)" or "this skill causes damage (!!!) " numbers for myself and find out trough trdious trial and error.

Enchanting feels cheap. It should take more consideration or money or a quest. Instead, it's like free mix 'n' match which just feels, well, cheap.

How herbalism trivializes health potions by allowing you to easily and cheaply get hundreds of them. (atleast, lesser health potions)
Honestly, all you have to do to get 100 potions is go straight from Lothering to the Brecillian forest, buy 100 Elfroot for like 90 silver, go talk to Bodahn in camp and buy 100 flask for like 1 gold 20 silver and voila for around 2 gold you got enough potions to last you a good chunk of the game. (Depending on difficulty)

The fact that less than a month after release 90% of the posts in these forums are about whining and what you don't like and other negative crap about how people would have done things if THEY had been in charge instead of useful information about actually playing what may be one of the greatest SP games of all times.
People paid up to $80 for this game, if they feel it is lacking in certain areas who are you to say otherwise? Great your a big fan of the game, dont inhibit the future game experience for others because you are content with exactly how it is now.

not enough variations in armour and weapon designs, especially for the mage classes. Swords and mauls and axes all look the same also.

Luv the game but:
1.) Loot way to saturated.
2.) Little more open ended as far as exploration.

How you can't walk on or interact with 95% of the environment.
The total walkable/useable area is a joke. The rest is just a pretty static background - a mirage of closed, unuseable doors and impassible puddles of water.

I wish alot better in-depth description of spells, talents, skills, armor, weapons and so on. For example the "ca" damage for fireball and how much added percent for what the critical strike talent gives. More added indicators of added stats by of the above mentioned. I never quite figured out really, how much more armor a set of splintmail gives, sry if I may have overlooked that. Correct me if Im wrong.

My game won't install and neither EA nor Bioware have responded in any manner whatsoever to e-mail or my forum posts, even after 6 days. The technical forums are full of people with problems just being totally ignored. This is a really poor showing from EA/Bioware. It doesn't matter to me how good the game is if I can't get it to install.

The only thing I can really complain about is that when everything was over I really had a "what now" feeling. I enjoyed the game and will again, and again... no doubt. But here I stand with all these levels and gear with nothing to do but start all over or by the looks of it play tacked on dlc side quests. I wish you could play again with the same character or there would be dlc that makes what you have accomplished relevant in some way. If not hopefully you can port your character into DA:O 2 or something.

I have no gripes about the game for the most part, but it is quite aggravating that even thought there are some major gameplay bugs right now (daggers not using their 50/50 str/dex formula, +healing items having no effect), Bioware finds it far more important to release a new DLC (money grubbing anyone?) then patch these problems.

Way too few tactics slots and also having them unlocked by using skill points. This is beyond annoying and has gotten party members killed on several occasions. I should just download the tactics mod that gives you 25 or so slots.
Also too few female characters that can join your party, as well as a lack of mages/rogues to join your party.
