So... in essence: It's missing a means of exposing the PC's appearance parameters to the script engine and allowing the script engine to manipulate NPC appearance parameters. This would not only fix this issue, but add a whole slew of possibilities.

it also kills a little of the atmosphere.

The fact that all the "prestige" classes (Templar etc.) seem rather hollow and meaningless. I felt they blew a huge amount of storytelling potential by not weaving them into the story more.
I got to agree with this too. Was a little saddened by the existing specializations, and the fact that there was barely any story involvement. (Technically none)

Particularly, I hate the animations for Sustained abilities and all the stupid fog everywhere. I could play the game at a whole higher graphics level if I could just turn this **** off.

The only thing I can really complain about is that when everything was over I really had a "what now" feeling. I enjoyed the game and will again, and again... no doubt. But here I stand with all these levels and gear with nothing to do but start all over or by the looks of it play tacked on dlc side quests. I wish you could play again with the same character or there would be dlc that makes what you have accomplished relevant in some way. If not hopefully you can port your character into DA:O 2 or something.
This is really the only thing that kind of bothered me.I really wish we could have used the same character for the next playthrough Mass Effect style. I can see why they didn't make it that way but still...

So I guess one complaint is inventory management:
-all items have the same weight
-can carry too much (should have some storage chest)
-can't drop items (and pick it up later)!!!
-etc...
But I also want to reiterate that I think this game absolute rules.

NVN2 had this idea, but the implementation was a miserable failure.

Are we ever going to get back to a group of six??? Or five plus the dog would have been good. Or at least four plus the dog.
If the limitations are because of the consoles, then screw the console controls, they should be able to play the same way as the PC. It's not hard, there's been plenty of RTS games that play on a console.
(And obviously the difficulty would scale up to match...)

archers blow, mages are easy mode, and lack of viability of most skills being useful over i-win mage skills.

Also, I know I've seen this posted somewhere before, but the 2H animation is quite bad - those wide and sluggish swings especially are a major put-off. I practice WMA/German Longsword in RL and I was really baffled of the fakeness of those animations - a Master in 2H wielding a sword like a peasant is handling a hoe? The animator who did that should really get a bit more than a hand-slap for that...
