yeah you would have to mod it in. i did try to change it to caps lock to see if it would work that way, just stay on, but it didnt. it was the same, you have to keep the key pressed down.

Whole this game is major step backward for crpg.

Maybe I'm just not up to date, but what is a CRPG?  And why waffles.  Who started that, and why?

The lack of understanding by designers about how medieval armor and weapons actually worked.

Archers, even the non-hero types, ROF is too fast (6 - 10 per minute). Crossbows are far too weak. Two handed fighting style is way too slow and should not be swung like baseball bats. I.33 shows 2 weapon style with German bastard swords and how graceful it can be.

Plate armor should be invulnerable to almost all types of physical damage sans hammers, maces, and crossbows. Swords, arrows, and such just do not have the capability to punch through. Crossbows should punch through all armor as if it wasn't there.

you write as though you have some knowledge, however an arrow fired from a bow would pierce plate armour. That is what the chain mail undergarmet was for.

The thing I dislike the most is the romances. Most are poorly written and both Morrigan & Leliana have huge character flaws that would keep a respectable man away (Which is what my PC is). I won't elucidate unless asked, don't want to give away spoilers.

The armors in the game are not strictly realists, and some of them a bit fantasy-looking, but honestly they are still very conservative in design (notice that I *loved* that, especially after four years and a half of cartoon-looking armor in WoW).

Archers, even the non-hero types, ROF is too fast (6 - 10 per minute). Crossbows are far too weak. Two handed fighting style is way too slow and should not be swung like baseball bats. I.33 shows 2 weapon style with German bastard swords and how graceful it can be.

Actually, bows had a very high RoF (a skilled longbowman could have three arrows flying at the same time). The difference being, of course, that it was when firing in formation, at a general direction, and not aiming at a particular target like in the game :D

Plate armor should be invulnerable to almost all types of physical damage sans hammers, maces, and crossbows. Swords, arrows, and such just do not have the capability to punch through. Crossbows should punch through all armor as if it wasn't there.

Sorry, but sword could actually pierce armor. The main weapon of knights was the sword, after all, even if they DID use maces. Plate armors were very efficients, but they were not some kind of invulnerable magic shell. And even crossbows didn't ignore armor. If it was the case, armor would have disappeared centuries before gunpowder.

On the whole, you seem to not have more understanding of medieval weapons and armor than Bioware :P

The lack of in-game repercussions of the character specializations. Where are the random encounters of Templars trying to hunt you down if you choose Blood Mage? Why doesn't a certain old lady you find in the Circe of Magi refuse to associate with your character anymore?

Templar? Where are the NPC(s) to hand you quest to hunt down apostates? Why does a certain Goth:ly witch-of-the-woods still hang around your character?

Baldur's Gate 2 did this wonderfully with a faction corresponding to your main characters' class, i.e a Paladin Order if you were a Paladin. Why such a thing was left out of Dragon Age, especially since Bioware made both games, I don't understand. Oh wait, I do: To shamelessly sell it as DLC later on.

I hate EA.

I won't post spoilers but that certain oldy lady will leave your party if you do a certain thing in the DLC.

I was rather disappointed with recruiting the help of the dalish elves.

The Mage tower was very fun, loved the fade, it had some good intrigue.

The dwarf city and deep roads were huge, and a extremely interesting

redcliffe led to a pretty epic journey, and provided what I consider the best moral choice in the game.

The Elves, meh, it was short, and pretty light/ empty compared to the others I found.

Personally:
- The uninformative and useless tooltips. I would love to see some numbers and mechanics from this game.

One that may be my computer or just the Dragon Age engine...

In crowded fights (like, uh.. near the end of the game), the AI scripting seems to slow WAY the hell down. Seriously, I can cast a fireball and the animation will play out, but not explode or do damage until like 30 seconds later. This made the game excessively hard.

Put me down for the memory leak that effects load times. When I start, I have load times of about a minute. Three or four hours later my load times are nearing seven minutes, just walking out of a tavern and back into an area I just left from. Its annoying.

Not being able to romance Cullen the Templar. So what if he isn't a partymember? It's fun when someone who HATES YOUR GUTS falls for you. :D

Implying that arrows from longbows don't go straight through armor.
Implying swords can't cut through/stab through plate armor.

I don't like random drops for certain bosses.

MINOR SPOILERS:

I didn't know about the Warden's Shield being a random drop from Warden Dryden. If I knew I'd reload that 50 times for my sword and board character.

I didn't know Gaxkang (sp?) had a shield drop as well...I guess I learn stuff from the forums for my next playthroughs.

None of the companions were interesting to me and my character lacked a sufficient role playing reason to care for them save for Alister; (cannot elucidate due to spoilers) I mean nothing invested my character in wanting to pursue the villains (I mean just being a grey warden didn't mean I cared for other grey wardens deeply) and everyone was really held together only by wanting to fight the blight etc kinda boring game to replay as only some plot conversations change and there are only some 'correct' builds you can try for party compositions if you want to be effective that is. No exploration off the beaten path. No substantial side quests to keep things interesting. Too many things cut from the game(not talking dlc either) like the quests that were supposed to be around specialisations - take less than 5 mins in some cases if they exist at all

Insufficient clarity both in combat feedback (is my debuff still in effect and how long will it last? whose attack did that "immune" floaty refer to? how many eyes do I need to register every one of the floaties across a busy field before they float away into fadesville?) and in talent/spell/skill/equipment descriptions (what's "moderate damage"? what is the effect duration? how much of a % chance is "a chance to paralyze"? how much is "a bonus to armour from wearing a set"?). Those aspects feel unfinished/unpolished/underdeveloped.

Shapeshifting specialization, because it's useless. I'll keep ranting about it until, well... this is probably the last time. I hope there's a Bioware employee somewhere who is aware of this, and has made it his/hers holy grail to make it not suck. If you exist, whether you succeed or fail, thank you.

The fact that so many people think that their inability to build rogues properly means that rogues are gimp when, in fact, the people who think rogues are gimp are simply terrible at building (or playing) rogues.
