Not being able to romance Cullen the Templar. So what if he isn't a partymember? It's fun when someone who HATES YOUR GUTS falls for you. :D

My mage fell for Cullen (or I did ), and choices she made were based on this. Romancing that one would have been a hard nut to crack but oh so satisfying. Anyways, shame the flirts in the game get you nowhere. That's my biggest gripe.

The only thing that actually came to mind is my problem with some of the itemisation, mostly visual. Some armor sets have lower quality textures than others. Or it seems they do at least. And as for armor sets, the balance is off, there are no real light/mage sets to gather, and most high end items are retextured lower level items, with slightly better stats. Oh and Mage hoods look ridiculous.

But this doesn't matter at all, because the rest of the game is so amazingly awesome... :o

Well, got a list of things myself, but most of them have already been mentioned, so I'll go with one that hasn't been: only a single mage origin story.

3 classes. 4 sub-classes per, of which you can pick 2. So, 2 rogues, 2 mages, 2 warriors and you can try out all the subclasses. And, hey, 6 origin stories, perfect for those 6 characters. Oh, wait, sorry, only 1 of those is for mages. Why couldn't I be a Dalish elf mage?

I would like more control over militia and soldiers that I'm supposed to be in charge of, giving me the ability to set them in formation and make them hold the line...so they don't run off into the fire after enemies and die...like they did in a certain battle.

The magically appearing unfderwear during the sex scenes.

That's a staple in movies and TV shows I'm afraid. Even Bioware couldn't get around that trope.

The whole loot system is weird. To be fair, DA:O is hardly the first game to have these problems, but it seems unusually bad to me.

"Huh, look at that. This wolf apparently swallowed a suit of chainmail."

Love the game but this for me. Last night I fought a Revenant and he didn't even drop Elfroot when he was beaten. Especially annoying in the pre-fight smacktalk scenes where you can see a nice shiney weapon on their backs, think "I'm 'aving that" but the game decides otherwise :(

Hopefully someone will come up with a mod for altering the loot dropping off corpses and chests (no idea how it's done currently or if it'd be possible or tonnes of work).

Things like how the Inventory works and how few weapon types there are I actually like though. Backpack Tetris is very annoying, especially when there's carry limits as well. And as for weapon types it used to get really annoying in BG2 & NWN when you'd find a nice weapon but it wasn't of the type that your main warrior used. Fewer weapon means that happens less often.

I am surprised they didn't use the Mass Effect corpse auto-loot system in DA:O too though. Thank heavens for mods.

I remember trying something like this for NWN 2 and it was horrible.  I ended up with a bunch of really useless stuff that wasn't even worth the slot it took in the inventory.

The only thing I dont like about Dragon Age is that my character doesnt actually talk when i pick an option during the dialog. I felt that Mass Effect was able to pull me into the story more because your character actually talked during the dialog.

I've got two things:

1. Absence of logical operators in Tactics.

2. No order queue in combat.

-No Cloak or shady looking model for armor. All the thug look like  my character.Ok for the Gray Warden DLC but whatever.
-Average ending ... Did not love  the ending when you sacrifice your character.

-All the frigging  loading screen and the memory leak problem.I guess they did not learn with NWN 2.Age of Conan failed because of this.Although it's a MMO

-All the stupid fanboy that can't take any sort of complaining. It's my favorite RPG . But that what make my experience less fun .. Get over it.If  you never complain/act in life .. nothing will change .. In the video game industry complaining it's the only way to be heard ... or simply not buying their product anymore and passing the message that their product got flaw.Big deal ..

-It's clear for me that playing a female character's much easier.Romancing's easier..The discusion you can have can be very funny. It's not because i'm a male that i'm automaticly a pervert that just want to peek.

Basicly has a Female character  .. you get flirted and liked much easier than a male character.
Also allistair should have been a female.More guy play dragon age than woman ..So what.. I wanted a epic ending like you do when you play a female character.Moriggan stink.

I'm not normally one to chime in on these kinds of threads, but I do have one thing that has been a minor annoyance throughout the game.

Since I'm playing an arcane warrior, of course I'm usually wielding a weapon of some sort, but I just find it annoying that some, but not all, of my spells cause me to sheath my weapons to cast them.

The only reason I really find this annoying is because I just wish it were consistent across the board. I would prefer either all spells require sheathing weapons, or none of them do. Obviously I would prefer it if were the latter option, but I'm suspecting that is one area of the game that isn't going to be addressed, which I understand though.

Seriously? You just posted that in a NO SPOILERS ALLOWED forum? Thank you for ruining 80 hours of story rich gameplay for me. I bow down to how awesome and monolithically inconsiderate you are.

I got spoiled by Fallout 3. The ability to meander into most nooks and crannies of the world; and the inevitable falling into too much trouble by happenstance both are sorely missed. Other than that, getting the PC version solved most of my technical gripes with the game. I play zoomed out almost entirely, although snooping around as a stealth archer can be fun zoomed in, too.

Love the game, BUT:

I do not like how the party members are levelled up before we get them. Would love to have determined their stats more than we are allowed to.

Err ... You call THAT "major gameplay bugs" ? ROTFL

The game runs stable, the storytelling is extremely good, theres no major bug anywhere, the interface is overall maybe not as good as Baldurs Gates, but simple and working.

There are no major bugs to speak of.

Whats lacking is some details.

Aye, I suppose with ME you have an infinite inventory, and it got awfully messy very quickly even if you tried to tidy it up occasionally by Goo-ifying everything.

Some sort of hybrid system where you could specify which sorts of items to auto-loot would be nice though. So you could tell it to always loot potions, components or whatever but leave weapons which you could check out yourself beforehand (I am still at the "pick everything up to sell it in the shops" stages, I'm sure I'll get pickier as the game goes on).
