DMEX seems to code patches for battlefield

This will be a joke on EA, because it's seems to be a few weeks that Dmex and EA_mikenoface post in there as official staff ...

On one side you would have fake EA staff without moderation to stop their activity for weeks (it seems that Dmex sent patchs to concerned player by pm for BF3, so it could be very dangerous if he is not officialy part of the staff, ... the file sent could be malware etc)... on the other, employes of the same corporation that can't didentify them-self.

No wonder getting answer about Origin is confusing as EA can't either moderate fakers on Origin behalf on their forum or can't identify their own staff between them.

Anyway, i'll put my money on this good'ol Chris : )

Not that i care if i loose, i don't like all the answers provided by Chris : p

Well, Chris hasn't provided all the answers.

At the very least Bioware should provide a detailed list of what PC users should expect from the DRM. You see, no one likes to spend $60 on a game and have surprise requirements popup as soon as you insert the disk.

dmex's location in the EA forum thread is Western Australia. Assuming Chris doesn't know the guy's real name, I can easily see how he may not know the guy's a real EA employee (assuming dmex is an EA employee).

What... what the... wHAT THE ****?!
My frustration and iritation just passed its limits. Not only the answers given by some unspecified individual on both forums last for a day without any notice from devs/moderators but we are kept in TEH kurwa dark the whole time with only vague and laconic 'sorry folks, you've been duped'.

I've been patient.
I've been understanding.

I think I'll just cancel my preorder of Bioware and uninstall EA at this point.
Really with all this mess and crap all around I just cant seem to move forward without stepping into **** lately. Unacceptable for me!

What's the point of the whole thing if when EA is looking down on us it sees only ****, and when we look up we only see ****s?

Dammit, this is not entertainment anymore!

Oh, and another thing - I QUIT!

It's necessary to uninstall EA before installing OpenEA.

Now there's a plan and we lose Origin in the process. A definite win-win.

Yes, you can do that in memory banks under your cerebrum.

I just checked the EA forums and it may look like dmx might started those topics to gain some email adressess... not sure... but would it go unnoticed by actual devs and moderation for whole few days?

...wierd to say the least.

So, this was a troll (on both forums)??

Wow, I don't know what to think. On one hand, it would have been nice if what he said was true (and he did seem quite competent and tech savvy), but the whole time I was reading it, I was wondering why EA just didn't announce it a long time ago to avoid these threads (even if it was only a possibility).

On the other hand, it seemed to completely circumvent EA's position on Origin and didn't make sense at all.

I'm very confused now.

What I cannot figure out is what motivation anyone would have to pose as an EA employee and try to helpfully explain the function of Origin to concerned customers of EA. It is the strangest thing I've seen in a long, long time.

I don't know ... maybe a disgruntled ex-employee, which would make Chris' statement valid.  Just saying, because all official announcements have been very carefully worded.

Probably because Chris is giving us the only official answers, and he stated he was not an employee.  I do not think Chris would post something without fully vetting it out first just like all the other answers we've had to wait for.  But still, this is all very curious to say the least ....

Maybe he's some kind of volunteer, community moderator trying to get a paid gig at EA by blowing smoke (open origin) in an effort to stop people cancelling preorders.

One of his posts on the EA forums stated that he hadn't yet signed a contract with EA and that he wasn't being paid by them yet.(in December I think)

To my knowledge, he has not lied.  Have some of the answers been very ambiguous ...  YES, but that's a far cry to insinuating someone is lying.

I think because we all know Chris is, for certain, a Bioware employee. And he said DMex is not an EA employee. I trust Chris more than dmex because I have a longer association with him (to his everlasting regret, I'm sure!) He is not, in my experience, prone to lying. Prone to having to deliver-up 'marketing' messages that need to be carefully parsed...yes. On the other hand, dmex is posting as a developer on the official ea forum. If he turns out to be fraud/hacker then this would certainly increase the concern with EA having your private information stored anywhere as it would appear that they can not even secure their own forum,

However, it could all be a miscommunication/misunderstanding and I'm certain that if any new information comes to light then Chris will be sure to let us know.

It could be settled easily enough by having an EA moderator (if they indeed have any of those) come on the EA board and either endorse or permaban this dmex character. I don't understand why that hasn't happened already.
