Epic! Should put EA brass on that show "are you smarter than a 5th grader" because even they could see why this is the case.

Looks like the PC numbers are really small compared to Xbox either way.

Yeesh yeah the % drop was huge, but so what they lost 2,500 sales.  PC game sales are pathetic for the ME series they could lose every PC player from ME2 and it would barely effect them.

Can't say this comes as a surprise.

I seem to recall making a topic about when DA2 came out asking Bioware to PLEASE part ways with the EAvil overlords called Electronic Arts.. But of course it fell on deaf ears. I've been a loyal customer of BioWare since Baldur's Gate 2, but I guess all good things must come to an end..

I can only ask you Mr. Priestly and all of Bioware to PLEASE reconsider this course of action.. I will not enjoy seeing EA to become the new Ubisoft or Bioware the new Westwood.. And you are heading that way quite fast.. There already is enough concerns about the game itself with multiplayer and story mode (I am willing to give it a try for the sole reason that I'm open-minded) without forcing Origin on us.

Please please please reconsider Bioware and become the developer I(and we) once cherished so much..

Anyone at EA who didn't see that coming does not understand the internet. Oh well, looks like I'll have a horrible time of MP, seeing as 60% of the people playing will be EA and Bioware employees if they remember that they have a PC.

Other than that, my team will consist of an Eskimo, a South African, and a russian. Ping will be for the win

FOR THE WIN!

Not really.  It is dead for ME, but it never was alive for ME.  There are other games where the PC version sells a ton of compies.  Consoles almost always do better overall, but ME is special in how poorly the PC side sells.

What I read : PC - 3,102 - PC - 589

the difference is very minimal. Compared to that kind of number.

55,958 - 78,888

Thousands of fans lost, that's nothing compared to million unit sold. That is the only goal of EA.

Now I hope there won't be Origin, but I don't see how what you showed is impressive, for someone who works in a company.

On the contrary, that means that PC sales are very small.

This is actually bad news. You wait, we'll hear the same kind of tripe from EA that we heard from Ubisoft regarding the evils of PC gaming. This is what will encourage them to go console only.

True. Though take a note that those numbers are just increase of preorders. Total number is 73,548. Not something to snort at, although still small compared to Xbox's 536,262. Plus I'd like to believe there has been a reason why ME3 PC preorders havent been that hot, and I think the reason is what this thread is about right now...

From what I can gather from the data supplied, pre-orders rose on the PC by another 589 instead of decreased however it did drop in speed of "new" pre-orders compard to the previous week. That is all. It shows some people might have had second thoughts for that week whether pre-order or not and decided not too. This however is still an increase in pre-orders not large decrease. I suggest do not jump for joy as EA will not cry over such tiny difference shown between how many pre-ordered new copies last week and how many pre-ordered new copies this week.

Well, according to VGChartz, ME1 on PC didn't do bad - www.vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php (and that's just European sales). ME2 seems to have done much worse, but considering how the game was 'consolized', lack of shortcuts, mouse-scroll etc it's not that big of a surprise then. But yeah, games like Skyrim, Witcher 2 don't have problems selling around a million or more on PC alone

Also, it took weeks to get the accurate responses that I posted on Friday.

What does it say about Origin and Origin/EA support team if it even takes weeks to get answers WITHIN Electronic Arts?

It tells me their dodging your questions because they don't think we want the answers.
Chris can blame it on the length of the last thread all he wanst but I haven't seen that many different questions just the same ones being asked.

And that's where you're wrong .. :)

They might not have power in how ME3 will be distributed, but that says nothing about the future, which I hope will not include EA :)
