Why doesn't the Warden Commander's Armor (from the Soldier's Peak DLC) come with me when I import my character to Awakenings? Nothing like being immediately thrown into combat wearing nothing but my Helm of Honnleath!

All items from Warden's Keep DLC, including Warden Commander Armor, either Starfangs, and the rest will not import to Awakening. The only thing that can be imported from Warden's Keep are the Power of Blood abilities, and even for that IIRC you have to use the most recent patch to allow Power of Blood abilitiies to be imported.

This bums me out. My character is the Warden Commander, and gosh darn it I want to wear the Warden Commander's armor!

If I down-load and learn to use the tool set, is there perhaps a way to import the armor through that means?

You can go to dragonagenexus.com and download a mod that will import items from Origins into Awakening.
