Hello,
I was just wondering if you kill Ohgren in your Origins game is he still in Awakenings?
Thanks

I don't believe there is a way to kill Oghren in Origins...

Yes, he's still in Awakening if you kill him in Origins.

And you can kill him if you drop him to 100 hostile (twice? can't recall).

Thanks! I wanted to kill Sten and thought I could in Haven, but I can't and, being insanely evil, am killing as much companions (don't letting leave, killing) as possible while still having a four person party so I had to settle for Ohgren. Also if you do kill him in Origins, what does he treat you like in Awakenings? Does he not know you?

To be completely honest I'm not sure. Awakening was pretty buggy when it first came out and I'm not up to date on what patches have/haven't fixed. I recall hearing that if you killed* Oghren then he's not entirely happy to see you again, but I haven't verified it for myself.

*According to devs, Oghren is not killed but is merely 'knocked unconscious'. One of the worst handwaves ever...

There have never been any patches for Awakening, and the only ones I know of are the fan made ones for the PC version.

Oghren acts like he doesn't know you, as if you are starting a new character instead of carrying one over, no matter how you treated him in Origins. His affection level never carries over. And he's with Felsi no matter what.

Really? He didn't act like he didn't know my character.

If you make an Orlesian Warden then Oghren says he doesn't know you.

I have never made a new character for Awakening, but as far as I know, aside from what you pointed out, and a line about Branka, those are the only things he says about your character. If you carried over a game where he hates your guts he'll with neither like nor hatred, but in the middle. And if he was your best friend in Origins, again he'll act somewhere in the middle.

Oh, the love/hate meter definitely doesn't reflect any recognition, which is stupid IMO. So yes, that's true. :)

I agree. One of my playthroughs I had Alistair as King as he acted like he hated me and it made me so upset. Anora I can understand, I killed her father. I think if you carry over a romance with them though it reads correctly.

According to the wiki, i don't think anything about oghren is ported over to awakenings.

Perhaps a demon possessed him >:)

No items or approval imports over to Awakening.  The only difference is that he knows the Fereldan warden and doesn't know the Orlisan warden

This. Plus, he's the Warden's only source of free booze strong enough to make one pass out. I think the Warden needs that every once in a while.
