Have you ever wanted to delve into the Toolset and found it too daunting?  I do, but I have convinced a friend to make a simple Video Tutorial for making a Pin-up/Picture.

I was supposed to start a Multimedia (video production, animation) course this year, but due to a plethora of reasons I cannot - instead I am going to start a  Self Induced Media Studies - featuring DA Toolset (to teach myself)
probably on or around the 6th Feb (when school is well and truly gone back)

Semester 1 - Pinups & Face Morphs & Character Design
Semester 2 - Cutscene for Music Video
Semester 3 - Full Cutscene - Animations, SoundFX - FaceFX
Semester 4 - Create a total Original Mod - or Cutscene Trailer from scratch

If you are interested in joining me on this creative adventure - let me know here and we can use this thread to discuss problems and showcase our work...maybe.

I maybe the only clown attempting this Image IPB

Or maybe experienced people in the community are willing to be volunteer tutors and help me/us along - that would be cool too Image IPB

/cheers Tryyn

Please note :  I am a bit familiar with DAZ (self taught) & less familiar with Blender (self taught) - got as far as animating a ball - Yay me Image IPB ,

but I am really an absolute ditz when trying to understand all this tech stuff - so please speak plainly (not tech speak until I learn it myself) if you come onboard as a tutor.

If you are concentrating on cutscenes you might find the following helpful:

* DahliaLynn's Cutscene Editor group
* The Cutscene Forum
* The Dragon Age Toolset Wiki's Cinematrography Portal

Good luck!

So far I can :-

-Open toolset.
-Create Module

LOL

My first project will be to make a pin-up following your video you made me - questions will arise from that.

I wont be starting for another 2 weeks I think - school goes back on the 30 Jan - a couple days recovery and I will be back on track. Even my writing has suffered and Ive submersed myself in Skyrim a little. LOL not actually questing but exploring and killing stuff when I find it.... it is really good for just hanging out in - so many non-quests and crafting is simple and easy - normally I dont bother with it - but in this I am.

Can I ask what a "pin-up" is? It's not a phrase that I've heard before in connection with DAO so there's a good chance other people aren't familiar with it either.

The only type of pin-up I know of is that poster of Wonder Women I had on my wall when I was 12.
...
Ok, going back to work now....

I just wish I could get my toolset to work. I have follow all the instructions with troubleshooting and downloaded the sql stuff from Microsoft, but still have the same issue with the connection.

 @K-Town There is a thread addressing the Database issue found here:
http://social.biowar...424078/1#424078

Hopefully the information found there may help you solve the connection problem :)

nothing seems to work on getting the tool set to work. Could it be caused by the fact that I am running a 64x system instead of a 32x system?

COUNT ME IN!

I've got some solid ideas on what I'm gonna be doing so any info I can gather on the actual toolset will no doubt speed up my efforts. Of course I'll be more than happy to share anything I learn as well, even if its just simplifying a statement. Beats stumbling around blindly by myself, then winding up somewhere lost without any pants
