Hello Everyone, I would like some help deciding who to romance. I am currently finishing my ''canon'' female shepard, and I have a difficult time deciding who to romance.

I am thinking about either Kaidan and staying with him through all the games.
Or
Or leaving Kaidan and romancing no one, but romancing Garrus in ME 2.

Could someone help me?

Every answer you get will be biased as a Garrus fan obviously I will tell you to go with Garrus. Although there isn't much dialogue and Femsheps lines can get a bit eye rollingly rough/inconsiderate. There is an awesome amount of trust and respect between them and Garrus is such a sweetheart with his little dance!walk. Plus as far as romance spoilers are concerned his romance in ME3 is looking very well developed and woth all the calibrations we endured in ME2. If you planned on romancing no one and then romancing Garrus in ME3 I am pretty sure you can't, that Tali and Garrus are only romance carry overs.

I have to agree with Fleshdress on this - I think Garrus is the way to go. I have nothing against Kaiden...but the Garrus romance is one of my favorites.

I think Kaidan has too less personality to ever be a real romance. Go with Garrus.

You should stay with Kaidan.
Or you "clone" your Shepard in ME2 and have a playthrough without romancing any other character and one you go for Garrus.

From what I read so far, Kaidan's romance arc comes with a lot of emotional moments you might like.

If you're having a hard time, the best bet would be to do both. You can even do it without cheating if you want by:

ME1: Romance no one, ME2: Romance Garrus, M3: Romance Kaidan

Or, if you don't mind love triangles:

ME1: Romance Kaidan, ME2: Romance Garrus, ME3: ??? Profit.

Having read the script, both romances end satisfyingly so it's really a matter of which character you like best. Its worth noting that only Kaidan's romance can be started anew in ME3. Garrus has to start in ME2 to carry over, at least from what we know at the moment.

I'll throw my two cents in and say romance Thane in ME2!! I do have one PT for a loyal Shep to Kaidan, and one PT for Garrus, but Thane is my fave. Garrus is my Shep's BFF. I find Thane a great compliment to my Shep, especially when she's badass Renegade Shep. And that voice...mmmm...Thane's voice...sorry, drifted off.

Why are you against me? We both like Garrus. We both want what is best for Garrus. Shacking up with his VASTLY DIFFERENT ALIEN COMMANDER? How out of character can it get. I can't take femshep seriously anymore. If she is willing to just....... share herself with any character that has a scouter.

I'm with Mims -- try both! My original (canon) FemShep is leaving Kaidan for Garrus, but I also have a Kaidan-loyal playthrough and a Garrus-only playthrough waiting for ME3. I haven't read the leaked script, but from what I've heard both romances are going to be great.

I didn't know Kaidan could be romanced for the first time in ME3. Good to know!

There is only one correct answer as to who to romance: ALL!

Multiple Shepards assure you don't miss out on any of the wonderful characters.

(If you only go for one, obviously, my vote goes to Kaidan. ♥)

Although, if you had to pick between the two, I'm totally biased and would say Kaidan. But inter-species relationships kinda creep me out, so...

You should try Kaidan, if by the end of ME1 you aren't satisfied, I garentee your money back AND MORE!! Btw, he's worth it

Well its really based on your tastes. I chose Kaiden in all of my playthroughs (honestly because I am a straight female and the thought of Liara....well she's cute and all but SO not my taste...) but chose Thane for one, and Garrus for another and the rest stayed "faithful". Thane because a tourtured soul is always appealing. And Garrus for a curious....how the heck can they get it on?  I tried Jacob and he annoyed the heck out of me, I mean really annoyed me, I deleted that playthrough half way and never thought about his choice again. I would say do one playthrough of each, just for story value on ME3.

Kaidan forever I don't think they even show Shep and Garrus getting it on in ME2 so maybe it's physically impossible? Also think of the chafing...

I would romance Liara, hahaha. Seriously it's up to you, and what you like. I find Kaiden dull, Thane too frog like, Garus is more of the bff then L.I

I am so jealous of you right now, really I am turning green! Hulk green....man I really want to know how the Kaidan romance story line goes, or where it goes..... Is there a baby? Or a wedding? Man I am really really jealous now. <3
