In a dwarf noble origin there the possibility that the Warden (to be) will be paid in order to offer support for castless/surfacers returning to dwarf society-and how their debts are handled.

When supposedly paid your dwarf noble is given, basically, a check.

You can sell this certificate to a merchant for money-less than promised.

However, if you don't sell it wouldn't it be logical to expect to cash it in for the full value later depending on your choices (if you support Bhelen he reinstates you into your former house-meaning you may now qualify as a dwarf in good standing).

That said it may not matter if the certificate is confiscated along with your armor and weapons when you are arrested.

Sell it. If you don't you lose the cert. It's that simple, really.
