Captain Gavorn is gay, he has a human male boyfriend on Omega.

also ther are plenty of Asari that date human women though they're technically omnisexual.

So...who's Steve Cortez, should I care, and is it a spoiler? Hm, maybe I should've asked those in reverse order...

He's the shuttle pilot.
That depends on what you care about. He seems a full fledged love interest and romance for male Shepard.

Fixed.

Grab some bacon and a trashy romance novel, look into a mirror, and say her name three times.

I must have missed it then.  :pinched:

here you go

This conversation only occurs if Shepard is not romancing anyone, so it's easy to miss. This takes the place of his "sex advice" dialogue.

"Gayliens" Mwahaha! Brilliant!

You know, I believe it to be a bit arrogant for folks to believe that homosexuality is broad spectrum. Who says that every other race in the galaxy must have homosexuals? What if homosexuality is unique to humanity? What then?

Why do you have to have a gay Turian or Quarian? What if those species have never had a single individual who was same sex oriented because that is how they have evolved? Whose to say that the way humans have evolved isn't unusual for life in the galaxy? We already know that in the ME universe humanity is the most genetically diverse species known. What if homosexuality were an offshoot of that diversity? The Asari have no gender identity because they are mono gendered. Male and female have no real meaning for them. In fact, the Asari reproduce asexually with physical contact remaining optional.

In truth, cross species relationships even with gender compatible individuals would be extremely rare in the galaxy because many of the physical cues do not match up as well as the strong cultural differences and who's to say that the sexual equipment is compatible in the first place? How much more so would same sex pairings be? It is kind of a human thing to want to bone everything that you see, but the fact is that other species may not respond in kind and if they are naturally like that, then isn't it alright for them to be who they are or must they be who you demand them to be?

Lots of questions and darned few answers.

Its not unique, there are many gay and bisexual acts found in nature. Also most scientists who theorize on the concept of alien life say that any alien life we encounter would likely mimic our own. So its probable to find gay and bisexual aliens.

Your masked bigotry aside, why does it matter if there are "real gay aliens" if this is a work of fiction and all characters are anthropomorphized so they're essentially human with different faces anyway.

People seriously need to stop being so ignorant and afraid of anything different than what they see in their of myopic view.

First, you don't know me or what I believe, feel, or think. So I would appreciate it if you kept your asinine assertions about my motivations to yourself. Second, you didn't respond to my query. Just saying "some scientist somewhere" said blah, blah, blah is BS and even if true, he would be guilty of overlaying his opinion on something of which he has no knowledge.

That is because there isn't a shred of evidence to support the position. Just because you want something to be so doesn't mean that it will actually come to pass. I want to be a billionaire, but that hasn't happened yet either. All that we surmise, predict, or suppose about life in the galaxy is pure, unadulterated speculation.

Going on speculation in absence of evidence is a recipe for disaster. Science has brought us many disasters in the past precisely because they allowed their desires to overwrite their reason, eugenics and social Darwinism being two. Stop hiding behind supposed "science" and examine the questions honestly and you will find that the gay community is just as biased as the strait community in that when you don't have the facts you just substitute your desires and the truth be damned.

While that is certainly a very human thing to do, it is nevertheless a weakness of our species.

Even if a race had no gays that does not explain why a male alien that is barely human would consider a human female less bizarre than a human male. Only the Asari have a chance of procreating with a human and they can use anyone. Turians are vulnerable to human DNA so contact with bodily fluid is troubling no matter which human they would have sex with. Even after he agrees to romance Shepard he confesses he does not find her attractive but "respects" her more than anyone else. The same could have been said for male Shepard.

Of course it does not matter what science says since ME is not science. Whether or not there are "gay" aliens [and by that I assume the OP means a male human/male alien or female human/female alien relationship] is up to the writers. But even if Garrus or Tali are not s/s LIs in ME3 does not mean it will be a "retcon" if ME makes similar characters s/s LI in future ME games.

True, but I posed the questions to evoke thought. If we don't know and realize our own motivations then how can we ever truly understand anything? We will constantly trip over our own preconceptions.

Well, there's Gavorn. Also might be female aliens who engaged with asari.

Sexuality just isn't that important in the grand scope of things. Would it be more interesting? Sure. Is it going to be a huge deal? Doubt it.
