Then you misread what little info was given on the ME3 demo. BF3 owners get early access to multiplayer but everyone gets access to the single player at the same time.

I've said it before, they're announcing that they're going to announce when the demo is actually coming out? And that's something to get hyped up over?

I, for one, would like to know what's the point of these delays. They are, naturally, not obliged to release any demo whatsoever, but if you say in November you're going to release a demo in January at a soon-to-be-announced date, you're kind of pushing it when you announce the date on January 18th, at which point you have about two weeks to deliver on your promise.

What's the upside of toying with people thus, I wonder? Surely there must be one, if at the cost of undermining consumer trust. Revise the demo based on leaks? Not enough time. Build up expectation? People will believe they were lied to. Maybe the multiplayer isn't ready yet? You can release it later and still give early access to BF3 owners (in fact, this would be intriguing, since people would have something to look forward to not only in January but in February also).

There is a disconnect somewhere, and I'd like to know where.

That says date announcment day is sometime in Janurary. Not demo is in Jan.

Your "interpretation" makes no sense. It says what it says. "Announcement Is in Jan". Not early access is in jan. If they wanted to give you access in this month, they would've just said it. not dance around the issue.
