I finished playing ME2 a few weeks ago (yup, got the game late), and everyone must have survived; there are no casket scenes and everyone appears on-board afterwards.

In ME1, included in your save folder, are CHAR files that you could import into ME2, although I didn't import my ME1 character. Looking in my ME2 saves folder, there is no CHAR files. When ME3 releases, what means will there be to import your Shepard that you used in ME2 ? Did I miss something?

I think you will just use ordinary savegames for that. Which makes sense, considering that you can play after the ending.

Thanks for the reply. It would be great if that's the way they will do it. The first time round, I kept the collector base intact, then backed up my saved games. The second time, I blew the place to kingdom-come. It would be interesting to play ME3 from both perspectives.

Any ME2 save that has the "Beat the game and lived" flag set will be importable.
