Yes and No, yes i like how the xenophobia ads elements to her character (as well as her family history and spiritual beliefs) no I don't think it makes her a better romance option because each character romance is a specific kind of romance. The only disappointing romance is Jacob (and Garrus in some arguments).

You know what? Maybe. I do think the whole racism thing (or xenophobia if you guys want to call it that) is what made her interesting as well. The other two female characters were kind of dull. I still like their characters but they didn't have cool dialogue like Ashley.
Why are you guys spamming this thread? It's not a troll thread. I honestly like the racism/xenophobia trait on the character Ashley. Trolling is not necessary.

I should acknowledge that I don't really find her racist. I use 'racist' as a general word to describe what everyone tends to hate about her. That 'distrust, suspicion' or whatever is just best defined by the word the general public use. 'racist'.
I agree she's not anymore racist than Garrus or Tali.

She'd be a speciesist, not a xenophobe.
And she's not even that hardcore as she's willing to trust them and fight by their side.

Ashley's attitude toward aliens is likely the most realistic portrayal of how humans would react so soon after first contact. In ME, it was a mere 26 years ago, which was during most of the main characters' lifetime...and to exacerbate that, first contact was marked by aliens sh*tting orbitals on human colonies. Being wary is not the same as being xenophobic or racist, two things for which she will call out the idiots of the Terra Firma party.

Well because Liara and Garrus were my Shepard's bff and Wrex was super cool, I was not happy with Ashley's attitude towards them, she only survived one playthrough with me. Interesting character but caused too much of an atmosphere.

Well because Liara and Garrus were my Shepard's bff and Wrex was super cool, I was not happy with Ashley's attitude towards them, she only survived one playthrough with me. Interesting character but caused too much of an atmosphere.
