As time goes by, I grow concerned that the bioware patching server may go offline for NWN2.  Sure, it's unlikely, but I'd like to have a backup.  I found the page on the vault that lists all the patches sequentially for each language but I notice it only goes up to 1.22.  Is there a page for dowloading 1.33?  Also, has anyone tried patching from the files on the page on the vault?  Is it complete?

Also, I have 2-3 separate backup dvds with all of the patches on them.  Luckily, SoZ will patch everthing up to 1.20.1541 so I only have to start there.

Additionally, I have patched from the list on the vault and there used to be one missing, but nothing after 1.20.

One thing I forgot. Kind of a handy tip I read on the old forums. The easiest way to get the files you need is when you're re-installing NWN2.

Install NWN2, MotB, and SoZ (no patching, installing SoZ will do it)
Start game
Open the updater
Right click on the splash screen and check "Save Downloaded Patch Files"
Click "update" to get the updater going.

The patch files downloaded by the updater are saved in "C:\\Program Files\\Atari\\Neverwinter Nights 2/temp" (default xp). Save those files in a safe place. Currently, 8 files will be found:

Hey, thanks for that info, Axe edge. So if you manually patch, you can install OC, MOTB, then SOZ, and then just patch from 1.20 onward, and it works fine?

Yep. I've installed this way 3 (or more) times and it worked great. 

In the past, based upon superstition, I installed NWN2, started it, immediately shut down, then installed MotB and SoZ without starting the game again.  On the old boards, a few suggested starting the game briefly before updating, but I'm pretty sure I've installed without doing so.  The suggestion was made at a time during NWN2s early days when nobody knew what was breaking the game.  Turned out it was VOODOO!  (although, some claimed it was simply rushed development)

Note, in case someone new reads this thread: To update manually, unplug or disable your computer from the internet, put the patch files in the main game installation directory, then, run the updater. Of course, someone new most likely has the Platinum Edition and doesn't have to worry about it.
