Is there going to be a thread for discussing the demo? Because for the love of god, someone needs to tell me if there is a way to throw back grenades, or do I just have to keep running away from them?

it was made so  you   would   run   from yer cover to  another     (in real life you would ...not risk getting blown up )

Thanks alot Bioware now we, PS3 and PC users, suck on our thumbs for 3 more days for SP and 3 extra for MP.

To be fair to BW, based on the t&c info, this is actually a MS UK promotion not an EA/BW one (which is why it's xbox only).  They are giving out codes via this app in the same way they gave out codes to their ExpertZone members....(and lets not forget the MS US mission command app as well)....

It does suck that this promotion has given what appears to be an almost unlimited number of super early access codes to xbox users.  It was bad enough knowing that their ExpertZone members were getting it early but at least that required qualification (albeit work for a retailer), this just seems to be a free for all...and those of us PC/PS3 users who are forced to sit back and wait just because of our choice of gaming platform are definitely feeling more than a little hard done by - especially as it now seems like the early access to MP demo announcement has been eaten by gremlins.

Oh well just two more days and the first part of the long wait will be over....

So far i havent found a way to throw them back (after trying six times and having them blow-up in my face).

Has anyone else noticed that the demo has a decent amount of credits and assorted items lying around? Now if i could just find a work bench so that i could add this scope to my pistol i'd be a happy camper.

It's completely random. Myself and my brother (who got one for his Xbox) used exactly the same order and got different results. In other words, it's an illusion of agency . What you do doesn't actually matter. Personally I would have preferred a "Play" button, some sort of wheel spinning maybe and then a result. Don't make people think they can affect the outcome if they can't, it just peeves them off.

There was an app on Xbox's facebook page which was giving out 10,000 codes for early access to the demo for Xbox users. Someone found it and posted the link here and caused a big furore of people playing the app, it seems to have had a decent possibility of winning; the two prizes were early access (starting now, though servers are still down. Not sure when the early access people get Multiplayer) and a Normandy avatar prop.

The codes are now gone; partly I think due to the fact that though the game locks you out for two hours after winning, someone figured out you could create new dummy Facebook accounts and get another go. Some people were even selling extra codes on eBay for real money...
