I don't think they're up yet. I found this at zunited.net and in the comments the multiplayer servers are said to not be up yet.

Agreed

The article linked doesn't give anything in regards to the facebook game equating to BF3 early access, as it referred to the 14th demo being downloaded to access the MP on the demo, not the Facebook one.

So that question still remains to be answered.

That´s something I´d like to know as well. Unless this whole thing was exclusively for Xbox owners and it has already begun with those codes...

The form has not been put up yet, it was part of the "technical difficulties" that kept the early access information for PC coming out on the 7th, as far as I know. However, if you're linked in with Origin, then I can't see why it wouldn't work, the form was only to double-check that it had registered properly. BF3 only gives you early MP access, not early demo access (unlike the Xbox app).

The Xbox app has nothing to do with the BF3 promotion, it gives you access to the singleplayer demo on the 11th, while the BF3 gets you access to the MP demo on the 14th.

Hope that helps clear some things up.

Also, I wasn't saying that the extra facebook accounts were cheating, per se, but that they did very much add to the short length of time that the codes were available. The two hour lock-out was obviously designed to stretch out the length of time that people had to play the app.

In hindsight, it would have been much more secure for them to not only restrict it based on the GamerTag entered (ie only once every two hours for that GamerTag) but say that only the GamerTag that "won" the demo could download it.

That's the programmer in me talking though, seeing people swapping codes was a lot of fun.

I wish I had codes for everybody. The thread where everybody was giving out and trading codes was open until yesterday.
And yes the demo is really fun. MP isn't up and running yet but I look forward to trying it out with everybody.

I dont think that is right that the there were people that made up phony facebook accounts to get codes, you should have only taken one and been done with it. That way everyone could have a chance to get a code. This might be complaining since I didnt get one, but there are to many other people that didn't get a code either.

My understanding is by activating your BF3 Online pass your EA Account is given early access to the MP section of the 14th - When you download the demo it will probably run 2 checks - 1) is it after the 17th no...then 2) Is this account entitled to Early Access.

If either of those come back as yes then the Multiplayer section of the demo becomes available.

I don't believe you need to do anything else with regards to the BF3 thing to get the early access with ME3, unless you are on the xbox/ps3 in which case you need to make sure your gamertag is linked to your EA Account (no idea how to do this as I don't have either console).

The form, and the announcement, (about other ways to get early access, and whether the demo would contain unlocks for the full game etc), that was due to be made on the 7th has thus far failed to materialise. There was a message posted either late on the 7th or early on the 8th that the announcement had been delayed due to technical difficulties - since then we've seen announcements on the new website (looks great btw) and the FemShep trailer (loved it), but there has been nothing but a deafening silence with regards to this particular announcement.

The people who made dummy facebook acounts mostly did it for other users on the BSN.
I understand your annoyance but they didn't do it with the intention to use them for multiple demo aquisition, that would make no sense at all...

The codes where ditributed fairly among the thread where this was going on. 

Besides, the facebook app where the codes were "being given away" was completely random, in other words you weren't guaranteed to win a code for the demo. It was sheer luck.

Thanks for the answer. I´d figured out as much, but most people aren´t really going to rummage the threads for answers. They could just put up an announcement or something.
With two days to go now I don´t know what good it will do to have early access, but anyway, we´ll see if these forms are really going to be put up on the site.

Having played the demo by way of the facebook app, i can confirm that we got shafted you play the opening, and then the salarian world where you save the krogan, but you're forced to skip the entire conversation thats supposed to happen before you run around the salarian world.

Kargsure i saw one of your earlier posts and love that you and your husband both play mass effect.

Also i have a code for the normandy avatar item (not the demo, sorry) if anyone wants it shoot me a message.

He actually introduced me to the ME1 & 2 (I think one of his friends suggested it to him) - although I was a fan of games long before I met him (we actually met through the online community of another browser based game we both play).

We were hoping to qualify for early access to MP to play that together on the 14th - but with the lack of any announcement thus far we're resigned to either play the SP together (ie one playing but both making the decisions etc) that day or just saying bugger it and playing it  seperately and then do the MP thing on the 17th (some things are more important than Valentines Day ).

yeah, my girlfriend plays videogames, but shes not into mass effect. She loves how excited i get about it though she says i'm "like a diabetic kid in a candy store, that just found out he's not diabetic", lol.

We got together just before ME2 came out and she worked at blockbuster and kept hearing the video playing where nassana dantius says "but shepard your dead" and its become our running joke.

I won't be playing the multiplayer until it comes out the 17th anyway. Valentines day comes first (wonder if i can sneak my xbox to the hotel without her noticing?). But after that ME3 multiplayer all day long.

If you didn't get a code your life will not end - like the rest of us who don't own an xbox you are forced to wait 3-4 days for the public release of the demo. 

I was actually heartened by the fact that the codes were being shared on BSN it promotes a community spirit - heck because of this, I even attempted the game purely to get a code to pass on via BSN (it would have been useless to me).  It's far better than the sense of entitlement that is often seen around here (boo hoo he got x so I want it too). 

I'm just glad that some people got to experience the demo early - not that I'm not jealous mind, just that I don't think that because I can't have something doesn't mean everyone else has to miss out as well.

Chill demo is coming for less than 2 days for everyone play me 1 for a bit and demo will see the light of day sooner
