eh well, cancelling my ME3 CE and selling my BF3 limited edition account then. I only bought BF3 for the early access anyways.

No offence, but you sir, are an idiot.

and u sir mind of your own bussiness instead of insulting people u dont even know on a forum. he can do wtf he wants with his money.

Exactly, if he feel upset enough to cancel his preorder it's his choice.

Exactly he can do whatever he wants with his dough. BUT, if he decides to post his decision on this public forum (to influence other people viewing this forum?) then others get to give their feedback on his choice!

I was just thinking about Liara and I say.. its like, I have to wait many weeks for the demo, can't reach concensus..

I really can't wait for the game, I'm starting to make my campaings variations, I just change the character I romance n stuff

but I was wondering, what happens if I didn't play the Lair of the Shadow Broker dlc??? will that change anything when I play ME3?? someone know?

We anticipate the exchange of data

Goddamn it... Why not keep your word about January? I have to sell my Xbox most likely before then. :( Won't be able to play ME3 for a long time... Sigh.

Why sell it?

I'm moving at the end of February back to Canada and selling everything I own besides clothes and won't be able to afford any kind of technology back home for a while until I find another job. :/

@ ClayS_M4Part2 if arrival dlc is any indication it sounds like they'll write some kind of plot explaining why she's with you now and not running the galaxy behind the scenes

Great so i can't play with my fiance anymore :/

I know.   I am a little disappoint too.  My husband and I were hoping to play together on multiplayer.  Oh well.  Still looking forward to the demo though.  It's gonna be awesome! ^_^

right, I just wish they could include a redeem code to download the dlcs or include them in the disk but maybe thats asking too much.. I believe the ps3 version of ME2 have dlcs included but I'm not sure

anyway, ME3 is different so I don't really care about playing dlcs

:::::  SPOILER DLC in case of :::::
You didn't play the DLC but it still happen. No matter what you do (or don't do in that case) Liara will be shadow broker and you will blow up a mass relay from Arrival.

Can't really say I'm surprised, though I was optimistic. This is not "sooner than you think", this is later than we thought.

15GB? No worries about Valentine's Day then. It'll take a whole day to download it.

I think Casey Hudson said that even if you didn't get the dlc the events still occur.

what wouldn't occur if you didn't play LotSB is the continuing of Liara and Shep as a romance.

They're speaking US English in the game, though. Trash, sidewalk, aluminum; all that malarkey.

*bangs head to desk* so....you do a cross promotion with kingdoms of amalar to unlock stuff in game via the me3 demo but release the demo a week after KoA comes out......how bout the bioware offices take note of the compitance & profesionalisim of the KoA developers for the future hmm?

So ontop of that incompitance you've also bait and switched everyone on the whole "early access to the co-op demo" stuff by now making it what? 3 days or so early access? jan demo release out the window and completely threw off my dragon age dlc release predictions to boot, so thanks, thanks for keeping your track record of bungling the simplest of tasks bioware, good job *slow claps*

Exactly, if he feel upset enough to cancel his preorder it's his choice.

If someone wants to go sell his body for drug money and die at the age of 28, that's his choice too.

Doesn't stop it from making him an idiot.

That's a pretty extreme strawman argument that you have there.

Why are you so offended somebody might not want to buy the game? Why do you feel the need to be derogatory to somebody else on the forums? He has his opinion, that doesn't give you a right to name-call.

It's not a strawman argument lol. But regardless, I don't mind if he doesn't buy the game. I don't want to buy Skyrim despite everyone telling me it's the next coming of Jesus.

But nobody can possibly convince me that 1) buying a $60 game you don't want solely to get into a free public access demo a little earlier isn't idiotic, or 2) cancelling a preorder of the same game you wanted to play the demo so badly for just because you aren't getting its demo as early as you expected isn't idiotic.

I hope to all that's holy that this person was joking with that post, because if people are seriously wasting their money like that, then lack the mental capacity to realize that losing that money for nothing is only compounding the stupid investment before that demo is even playable, then I've lost hope in modern humanity.

The strawman in that case is the "someone who sells his body for drug money and dies at age 28."

This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious, because attacking a distorted version of a position fails to constitute an attack on the actual position.

But it's still not a strawman argument. It is a leap, I admit that, but it's a direct comparison between people being idiots-- one to a life-threatening stupidity and one to a stupidity involving money management. An actual strawman argument would be this:

"But he is an idiot. Why would you want to let people be idiots and lose all their money on demos?" What I gave was an extreme rhetorical comparison; strawman arguments simply twist the original argument in order to put the other person on the spot.

English lesson aside, the original poster is still an idiot for doubling the price of his game just to play a free-to-the-public demo early, then more of an idiot for cancelling his preorder in a kneejerk reaction to not getting the demo as early as he wanted. He is either a fool with a ton of money, or a fool who doesn't know how to properly spend what money he has in a mature way. I'm calling him an idiot in hopes that other people realize how stupid that is. I saw the exact same thing happen with Bulletstorm and the Gears 3 demo.

People never cease to be idiots.

His argument was "It's his choice to cancel his pre order" you represented his argument as "It's people's choice to sell their body for drugs", and attacked his argument based on your representation.  That is the definition of strawman.  You yourself admitted that your representation was "a leap" thus an exaggeration.

"The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a
person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or
misrepresented version of that position."

As far as the Febuary vs. January release I'm fine with it. Just as I am fine with the push back of the game it self from November to March. This just says to me that Bioware is trying to put out a great product as opposed to a product with glitches. Even if it is only a demo. just saying.

I just took a closer look and it's a very player-friendly sysreq.
And I, for one, really appreciate it, as I have to buy a pc for the wife too so we can co-op.

(which will end in me sleeping on the couch after failing to recover her or whatever method the game applies)

I'm a little confused with how to activate the MP section of the game as I do not have BF3.

Guess I'll have to wait until the 7th so I can see how it works.

Good:

We finally play the Mass Effect 3 Demo.

Bad:

1. Have to wait a month. (February is not January!!)
2. If you paid attention to the leaked beta demo, you know all about it already.
3. If you purchased BF3 just so you can get early access of the ME3 demo, you basically paid $60 so you can access the multiplayer portion 3 days early

But, I can't wait, even though I have Invasion and Deception to tide me over until then. :P
