You know for as much as we dump on Bioware and specifically EA for some of their practices it's also important to praise them for doing the right things.

Props to you guys in an industry where demo's have become rather few and far between It's great that you are giving us a chance to try the game before purchasing it.

Most likely through Online Experience.

Dead Space 2 you unlocked new suits by earning points which could be obtained through Killing the other team, completing objectives and finishing missions, on multiplayer. 

well thats better than what i heard... i heard that it unlocks by playing the single player which is fine cuz if you think about it you cant "help" your SP by just playing multiplayer before you play Sp since yyou should have to link it somehow to help your SP


EDIT: and now that i think about it every playthrough should require you a new MP Character

Dev Question

Do you have any plans to have ME3 DLC unlocked by completing the demo?

If so I would just like to offer my opposition to the idea.  I plan to play the multiplayer part of the demo to get a feel for it; but I don't want to touch the single player experience until I have the game and I would resent being denied content simply because I didn't want to spoil the experience.

Just putting this out there. I think it would be nice of Bioware to toss those of us who have completed all acheivements in ME and or ME2 early access to the demo.

so i have just learned that MP does not have anything to do with SP except the readiness of the galaxy and thats it no unlocks or anything from the SP to the MP

I am sure the release date for Demo is an EA requirement, hence the promo for Reckoning, It releases the 7th and a week later Magically the Demo for ME3 will be released.....I am sensing a pattern.

thats what i was thinking. but i was hoping that it could come out the same day as reckoning did.

I didn't think there would be a PC demo, actually (I was planning on playing on my PS3). Really glad to see that it's there! started ME1 on PC and I'm going to finish it on PC :3

EDIT: On that note, if we bought BF3 on one platform, will we get early access on another platform? I purchased my copy of BF3 on PS3, so does that mean I will only get early access on my PS3?

Last time I checked february WASN'T january.

But I somehow knew deep down that Bioware was gonna pull this. It's been an endless string of disappointments and failed promises every since July '11, so I didn't really expect them to break the pattern now.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware decided to push back ME3's release date.

What can I say, I'm a pessimist.

The 15 gig thing is for the full game guys, seriously, how can the PC demo have 15 gigs when Microsoft dictates that all demos on the xbox should be under 2 gigs?

It better be, on my slow ass DSL the 1.9 gig Kingdom of Amalur demo took an eternity.   If the ME3 demo is 15 gigs I don't think I'll be able to get it downloaded by the release date.

Some people here just couldn't realize that 15 GB are for full game. And the demo's release date? Just a very good marketing: One week after KoA:R and three weeks until ME3 is a perfect time for demo which will make a hype. Valentine's day is just a coincidence.

Perhaps on the 7th?  I dunno but I don't think BioWare is to blame for it.

Probably another failed EA promise, like the one where the PS3 was suppose to get a free copy of Battlefield 1943 with their copy of Battlefield 3.  EA failed to deliver and it wasn't until someone got antsy and involved laywers before that promised was fulfilled.  I'd call it a waste of court time but it got EA to hold up their end of the bargain.
