Likely, it's unrated.

A question:

Will the PC demo (and full game I guess) include the .ini configuration files like ME2? ME2's default mouse sensitivity is very very high and has mouse smoothing and all kinds of acceleration. I was hoping that, if those options are not configurable in-game (which I don't expect them to be), will the .ini file (in ME2 it's called "coalesced.ini") be provided so that we may fix these things if needed?

I'm assuming they will be and we will be able to edit them but a confirmation, if possible, would be absolutely fantastic.

It's a UE3 game, and UE3 games have ini files, and without it, the game wouldn't function, I think it's safe to assume that it'll be included.

I doubt they'll confirm or deny what kind of system files their demo or retail game would have, so it's better to use your judgement based on the game engine and your experience with previous titles and other UE3 based games.

Still curious on the DLC thing. I'd rather not play the demo. No point to seeing any of the story before the full game, since I have it pre-ordered. But I will if the demo gives me free unlockable DLC for ME3.

Thanks, I knew it was UE3 but didn't know UE3 titles require those files to function. Good to know they'll likely be there :D

Chris. Has it been 100% confirmed/denied yet as to wether we can play the multiplayer offline with bots?

Or wether the multiplayer is going to have achivements?

Have all of the achivements for the first 2 games on 2 seperate consoles so far.   (One of them has internet access very, very rarely and the other only has it about 50% of the time.)   And as i've also never been a big fan of multiplayer games to begin with, I would still like to go for the full set and was wondering if that was still possible?

Interesting question, It would be great to have "spec op" concept:ref: MW option instead of playing with real people. Don't get me wrong the Multiplayer option is great, and I appreciate all the efforts but being able to fart around with the multiplayer concept on my own when I need a break from the campaign story and want to level up some characters would be awesome. This aside from me being a loner and having no friends;) or just letting my Gold account run out which happens on Feb or March.

Does any one know if the multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 will be slip-screen?

You mean "split screen"? - I think it was stated before that it can only be played online - so no. Shame actually, it's always hard to get four people to be online and play at the same time. But ah well.

It's also stated you can play alone or two players, it doesn't need to be the full 4 man group. It just has to be online though.

Yeah, but I guess the less players you have in your party, the harder it gets to defend against enemy waves in the long run. I doubt the difficulty adjusts to the number of players.

We get this through origin too, what a nightmare. By the time you get the demo through them, it will be time for the full game release.

It's a shame yeah, but then again the game itself isn't that far off.
As curious as I am to check out the demo, I'd rather wait for the actual game, and not have to deal with Origin.

Maybe so, but atleast we can still change the difficulty ourselves too. so if you are playing with just a friend and dont want a challenge or be beaten pretty fast, just put it on easy. We'll see the 14th how it will go.

I could bet my shirt on a horse, though, that the actual game will be linked to Origin as well - copyright and all. It's been common practice for a while now, and not just with EA.

True, but having to change the difficulty setting myself just because I can't round up enough people to play with will still make me feel like an idiot (because I'm, you know, pretty ambitious, even when playing video games). But maybe that's just me. :lol:

Actually I'm pretty happy with this. They offer two pieces of DLC for a game I'm excited about in exchange for playing a free demo for an upcoming game. I'd call that an equitable exchange.

It'd be wonderful if we got free DLC for playing the ME3 demo, but I won't play it until after I've started the full game because I'm really trying to avoid spoilers.

Bioware never said the demo would be out in January; they said information regarding the demo would be disclosed in January.  And it was.

They changed it February 14th for the public opening;
<http://www.flesheati...effect-3-demo/>
However, they the ticker/ mass effect newsletter which is supposed to give the code for the January early release (which is now included in both version of the Battlefeild 3 game- the normal editions were given the code in November after the web release about the deal). Yet, January is almost up and the in game ticker (which took nearly forever to realize it wasn't January 10th until the 23rd or 24th) still is going on about the Back to Karkand DLC. They have no released a statement about moving the ticker/newsletter release; however, I'm assuming EA is still trying to be dodgy- like they were with the Dragon Age 2 bugs- and probably won't release it until some time February first week.
There's probably alot of bugs they running into along with a lot of talk as "what they should have in the demo"; it'd be easier if they just did a multiplayer demo. Character import, to demo, may problematic as well; unless they do, what I think Kingdoms of Amalur will probably do (which is remember you completed certain quests/goals and load from there).
-I find the fact of playing the whole time basis for KoA: Reckoning to get the omni blades dumb, when you get the armor for ME3 from simply starting the KoA demo. EA.
-They may be distracted with publishing KoA; Reckoning, considering that comes out February 7th (in North America).

Sounds great, except for Origin. Starting with the actual beginning of ME3 was a smart choice. It can hardly be considered spoilerific as the beginning material is known anyway and it wont spoil any twist in the story before you get context.

Have they said which levels will be available?

My best guess is the two we saw from the beta leak back in December =)
