so excited for the demo I rly want to see if bioware does not ruin a game franchise like they did with dragon age 2

i cant see it happening. 1 and 2 were great. were going to get more of the same in 3

OP stated that the campaign mission of the demo might be considered a "spoiler", but won't be from like, the late middle of the game right? The mission should if anything be the first one, right?

It should be like in ME2, you play the very first mission and then some midgame mission to show off some firepower.

F*cking figures. Origin to play a damned demo. Thanks Bioware. Thank you for forcing us to use a beta client that didn't exist when the series began in order to finish it, or not play it at all. Thanks a million.

Because yes, ME3 using Origin is completely and 100% Bioware's decision and has nothing whatsoever to do with being owned by EA, which Origin belongs to.  I'm VERY certain that this wasn't at all an EA Mandate or anything and that all of your frustration towards Bioware specifically is completely justified.

Then I should just play the first mission so I can just feel the game. :P No further!!

I have edited the first page original FAQ to clear up a misconception as per below

Is Microsoft giving players full Xbox Live Gold benefits during the demo period - including access to Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and more?

No - to clarify, Microsoft is removing membership restrictions from the ME3 demo. Normally if a player does not have XBox Live Gold, they would not be able to download the demo until a week after it is released, and would not have access to the multiplayer features of the demo. In this case, all players will be able to download the demo when it releases and all players will be able to play multiplayer in the demo regardless of Xbox Live membership level starting February 14 (for early access participants) or February 17 (all other players). There are no special steps required to obtain these benefits, it will be seamless for all players. To check out all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold membership, try the free Gold weekend February 3rd through 5th

That answers my last question, though I'd kind of assumed since they were offering the free trial on release date, it's just nice to have confirmation.

OK, now that makes no sense.

I think people who have pre-ordered the game should be able to get early access as well. Makes much more sense.

I was not going to get the demo initially as I didn't want to have to wait another month for the full game. But the more information I'm getting about the game means I might have to get it to make sure I still want to keep my pre-order for the Collectors Edition.

Maybe its just nervous anticipation but I've been disappointed too many times by long awaited games and the info coming out about ME3 have not reassured me much.

Insulting shooter fans by calling them "triggerheads" makes you feel big inside, doesn't it?

Does anyone know if the demo is definetly going to come out on UK/Europe PSN on the 14th along with other platforms/countries?

Because with the KoR demo we (Europe, for me the UK specifically) got it later, possibly even the day after, and at no point was that made clear before hand which was annoying to put it mildly. Just want to know if that's going to happen with the ME3 demo

lol that made my day, and alot of them can be a pain but remember not everyone who plays games like BF are as bad as you think.

I do know what you mean though, it makes no sense that pre-ordering BF3 gets you early access while those who pre ordered ME3 have to wait.  t(-_-t)

Unless my reading comprehension blows, the OP says there will be other ways to qualify for early access and they will be announced on Feb 7th.

Pre-ordering the game would be a good bet but how would Bioware know who pre-ordered? They could grant early access to digital pre-orders on origin but what about physical orders?

Since I couldn't find this answer elsewhere: There is a quick-match setting in the MP menu, right? Most of my friends won't be picking up ME 3, so I won't have a list of 'pals' to try the MP out with, should I decide to do so. Just wanted to make sure I'd be able to partner up with strangers for the MP.

I'm not a Mass Effect fan?  Huh, who would've guessed.

I guess I should go play Battlefield 3 and depart from these forums since I'm clearly not a fan of Mass Effect.

Just think, only one more day until we find out if there is bonus content for ME3 for playing the Demo. Not to mention we will also find out what we can do to get early access to MP, but I aint too worried about the early access part. I think I can wait 3 days just fine to play the MP portion of the demo.

I was so overjoyed about this initial information, I neglected that piece of recommendation that suddenly has me going 'ah, ****'. 4GB recommended RAM for windows vista/7. I have over 4 sitting in my computer, waiting to be exploited... But vista prevents me from accessing anything over 3GB. How will this effect my performance?

Most likely it won't be affected at all.

If you had around 1GB you could possibly experience long loading, severe fps drops while the level/map loads, and textures not being fully loaded right away.

I believe it depends on the game engine. Either way, at one point, I played ME2 with 1GB of ram and there was zero difference in performance compared to when i had 4GB.

Also, not sure if you're aware but your OS will list 3GB because it is most likely 32bit. If you get a 64bit OS, you can use all of your memory.
