Also im pretty sure the normal movement speed from the beta wasn't slow like in the demo.

53 minutes for the Xbox 360?? 9 hours and 15 hours??? How much have Microsoft payed Bioware?

I am so tired of all this Xbox exlusives, CoD games getting map packs 2 months earlier and demos here and there.

Damn you Microsoft! Damn you to hell!

....

I am playing on PC.

How hard is it to understand that BW has nothing to do with the time of the release (the date yes - time no).

Xbox gets it earlier because that's when MS chooses to update the content on their marketplace.
Origin chooses to update mid-morning (local time to them hence PST) - hence why the PC demo comes out later.
Sony chooses to update mid-aftermoon

It's the Euro PS owners I feel sorry for - as the Euro PS store updates after the US one, so they have to wait an additional 15-16 hours

I'm downloading it to my Xbox 360 from XBL and it's going smoothly. It'll take a half an hour at this rate. Can't wait to play it.

EDIT: It's 1.76 GB by the way.

If you don't have BF3 - you wait until the 17th (guessing 00:00 PST so later in some parts of the world, earlier in others).

If you do have BF3 - you follow the steps in the first post of this thread.

http://social.biowar...3/index/9260313

If you have already played BF3 online then you don't need to do it again.

Someone posted somewhere (I can't be bothered looking now) that their was something on their registered game content page that said they had early access - don't know if that's true, as I don't have BF3 so can't check.

That page can be found here: http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

I think at some point in last night I saw a posting by one of the BW people (my mind wants me to say it was jarod but not sure I trust it), that indicated that there would be more information available today.  Of course my sleep deprived brain could have imagined the whole thing.

Me thinks there wont be. With the demo of Dragon Age 2 they said in advance what would be the rewards for reaching a million downloads, but for this one, zero.

plus, this demo (Unlike the ME2 demo) can't export its data, so how would the ME3 game recognize you played it?

(Erm, that wasn't quite well worded, english isn't my main language. What I meant to say was that on ME2 demo, after you finished it, you could save the file, and then import that saved file to the full ME2 game. This option is not available on the ME3 demo)

Thanks, but Chris did say he would give us more details, I would just like to know for sure, because if nothing is unlocked from the demo, then I will just wait for my full retail N7 Collector's Edition before getting started, I thought for sure you would earn something.

Few things I noticed from the demo gameplay.

Shotguns are weaker, much weaker, it's no longer charge in, one shot kill, it's charge in, fire 3 shots. It's even 2 shots if they're just health.

The other, is when you are getting shot, and you stop firing to go back into cover, it takes an extra few seconds to go back into cover, which normally = death.

Well, there's a couple of things to consider regarding the weakness of shotguns.

A: these are un-modded, one would assume that after slaping a few upgrades they'd pack a higher punch.

B: from what few vids I've seen on youtube, they didn't included any special shotguns on the demo like the eviscerator or the claymore. Just your average joe shotgun that would do less damage. Not like that absurdly OP mattock rifle.

and C: this IS a demo, one that was probably made LONG before the game went gold, there's a couple of things in here that are likely not final. I seem to recall how in the Dragon Age 2 demo, Archers were GROSLY OP (Was able to 3-shot an OGRE) but on the actual game they were on-par with the other classes.

The scmitar and katana never killed any of my enemies in one shot...not even on like casual.

The Eviscerator and the Claymore yeah, but the Evicerator you had to get from DLC and the Claymore from late game weapons upgrade.

Yes they could, espicially on casual... The katana could one hit and punch most on insanity.

And my complaints are coming from playing on insanity. I do get shotguns will be stronger with upgrades, but it was slightly disappointing how weak they did feel. The shoting out of/over cover thing was the main annoyance anyway, just because you have to go back into cover far earlier, so it slows down the gameplay.

Ummm... the same exact way playing the Kingdoms of Amalur demo unlocks the ME3 items. The item entitlements are tied to your EA account, not a save file.

That said, I played the ME3 demo again last night while connected to EA Online. It unlocked the Omniblade Daggers in Kingdoms of Amalur (fired up the game and checked.) But I don't see anything under my user entitlements. So either there will be nothing or they're being sneaky about it.

Anyway, those that are downloading the demo now or are going to download it later, I hope you enjoy it. And happy Valentine's day. <3

I'm rather upset that EA is choosing to punish it's PC audience by scheduling a release for a particular day (today), then yanking the rug out from under me because I've only sunk money into one of their franchises. If they want to promote Battlefield, fine--that's their agenda, and I won't begrudge it of them. That said, they should also reward those who preordered Mass Effect 3 itself.

I don't care about Battlefield and I never will, and dangling my favorite game in front of me as motivation to spend $60 on a game I'll never play to access the demo of a game I've *already* dropped $80 on is at best, absurd. I have already paid EA for the rights to the full Digital Deluxe Edition of Mass Effect 3; I should not have to pay an extra 75% for the privilege of accessing a free demo on the day it was promised to be released

I installed Origin for one purpose: to play Mass Effect 3. EA has a golden opportunity here to muscle in on ValvE's territory and break the Steam monopoly, and if the capitalize on the chance I may buy more games through Origin in the future--but this kind of business model will drive away the very people they're trying to attract.

I certainly hope that Bioware had no say in this matter.

It's only three days, man - enjoy the single player for now and come back on Friday and multiplay it up.
