I should be more annoyed with all the trolling Bioware has done in regards to the date but I really don't care anymore. I have better things to do than be pissed at a company for being douchebags.

So they're giving you free access to parts of the game before relase, and you're having a go at them because its a bit later then they originally planned.

And they're the douchebags?

They not only flat out stated the demo would be released in January, they also tweeted that the demo would be out sooner than you think.  Please please explain to me how a ****ing month is sooner than I think?  I would have been fine if they had kept their mouths shut or if they had just outright stated earlier this month or last month that there had been a delay till February.

And it's not like they're releasing this out of the pure goodness of their hearts.  It's part of marketing in order to help sales.

But it doesn't change the fact that its free and is more susbstantial than most games.

Also, the original release date was from before the leak of the beta version of the demo and the script within. Of course it would be delayed after that. Its not as though the game has been delayed. You haven't lost out on any time or money. You're still getting a demo before the game releases. Thats like 3 weeks worth of ME3's MP before the game is even out, which is pretty nifty. So why you stooped to insulting Bioware over this is beyond me.

So we will be able to adjust the difficulty and customize our appearance? YES!!! This was something the DA2 demo sorely lacked.

And does this mean we will finally see redhead femShep as a preset? :o omgomgomgomg

Am I disappointed that the demo may or may not come out in January? Somewhat. It is promised though to come out at some point so really not that big of a deal unless my life depended on it (which it doesn't). Take your time Bioware...

More substantial than most games?  What?  What does that have to do with them screwing around with the release date and misleading fans?  That's also incorrect but that's a separate argument.

Why would you assume there was a delay because of the leak?  It's not like Bioware shut down their offices after the leak and they also still kept the dates on the website.  That's a communication fault on their part.

I know right.

-Custom Shepards, of both gender
-Access to all six classes
-Two SP missions
-Two MP maps
-3 weeks worth of MP
-Free

Nah, he ignores all that and complains that he doesn't have it now. Incredible.

The leak likely meant they went through the demo files to ensure that nothing could be leaked again - they don't want copies of the script floating around in it when it releases.

And you say it as though they intentionally mislead us, which is daft.

Saying "sooner than you think" is sure as hell intentional.

It's pathetic that they are releaseing the Demo 2-3 weeks before the game is released. We was told it was going to be released in January and now that it's here, we have to wait another month, for the Demo.

Bioware are really begin to ****** me off.

If you're going to say something, hold to your word. ¬¬

Valentines day is the release date as well. Some of us have lifes you know.

You know... it is somewhat ironic to state that some of us have lifes whilst you're in a huff about the delayed release of something as meaningless and unimportant as a demo. If you indeed have a life like you appear to want to indicate then get on with it and then enjoy playing the demo when it's released.

They said information on the demo would come sooner than expected. Info can about a day or two after that tweet, which was sooner than expected.

Besides, its only a demo. So what if they got the release date wrong months and months ago?

Looking forward to the demo. Feb 14th is later than I'd hoped but I'm a patient person.

Pretty pumped to be able to play all 6 classes. I'm sure I will be able to spend hours replaying the demo with the different classes and different builds.

I just hope that the mouse sensitivity/movement can be edited like in ME2. The default mouse sensitivity in that game, on the PC, is extremely high and jittery. Hopefully, it's either corrected or I can edit the .ini files again to get a smooth sensitivity.

This. It'll actually be really nice to preview the different builds to see which one I'll take first into ME3.  I can't wait to get ya'lls feedback (i don't have internet on the XBOX, so I'll rely on you folks).

"ETA for the Mass Effect 3 demo?"

"Soooooon"

twitter.com/#!/GambleMike/status/159157452594626562
"gonna play it, looks friggin awesome. But... Where's the ME3 demo?!"

"Oh - it's comin :) Sit tight. Sooner than you think!"

------

That's not about the news but the demo itself.  And guess what, those tweets aren't from months ago.

Okay, but at the end of the day so what?

You have to wait a little longer for your free demo of the game. Thats hardly the end of the world. All that tweet says is soon. It doesn't give a specific date, it doesn't rule out February as a release date.

If they'd cancelled the demo after all the fuss about it I could understand your annoyance. As it is, you're getting irate over waiting an extra 2 weeks or so which just seems like a colossal overreaction.

I sometimes wonder when they think we thought the demo would come out.  There were a lot of "sooner than you think"s.

But meh, Valentine's day isn't that far away.  I think we'll all survive, just barely. ;)

I still want to know if there'll be unlockable stuff for the full game in the demo. Because I really don't want that tbh

It's not about the demo but the ****ty way they handled the news.  Their communications team flat out failed here to notify the fanbase in something resembling an orderly time period that there was a delay.

It's possible, although, seems unlikely.

I bet the second part of the demo is on Sur'Kesh.

Most likely. "Cancel your valentines day planes" - Bioware on twitter...like I have any. Why must you mock me, Bioware?!

I know the feeling.

Nice to finally have some concrete information on it, though. Not too thrilled about having to wait till Feb 14th, but at least it'll give me a couple good weeks of school before my GPA starts to plummet.

It better be unlikely. I don't want to spoil the entire intro for myself!

They've told us about it almost a month before the demo is released. How is that not timely?

And again, so what? Its just a demo. They could announce it the day before the demo is launched and it would make no difference - you don't have to go out of your way to get it, and it isn't all that important.
