It's pathetic that they are releaseing the Demo 2-3 weeks before the game is released. We was told it was going to be released in January and now that it's here, we have to wait another month, for the Demo.

I'm complaining because of their terrible ability to keep fans updated. Then misinforming us of what is going on.
The fact they included the opening scene for the game is a bummer.
The fact that it's on Valentines day sucks, due to the fact, I've been waiting for this since the announcement. The fact that this gcame should have been out last year in freaking September.
The point is, their really annoying because of all the "MISINFORMATION".

True, but the BSN did announce the demo would launch in January and it also did say BF3 owners would get early access to the multiplayer mode. Thus, many a costumer arrived at the logical conclusion that they would be getting early access in January. Whomever made that leaflet didn't quite agree.

2GB VRAM are completely unnecessary unless you absolutely have to play a multi-monitor setup.
Given you are talking about 1.2 GB, you seem to be looking at nVidia GPUs, namely the GTX570. Whilst certainly outdated in a very few years, that GPU will be able to meet minimum requirements for a loooong time.
