He refers to his grandmother as his abuela and calls Shepard "Loco/a," so it's a fair guess.

wasn't femshep Lola IIRC?

Lola? There's only one country where they use that nickname, Argentina. He does not look Argentinian by any stretch of the imagination.

Ah so Mass Effect Fields are like wizards in any period piece fantasy story? Makes a whole lot of sense now. With his name I would've wagered that he was Caribbean like Puerto Rican or Cuban.

It reminds me of someone (from Australia) laughing at Miranda saying "bloody" being inconsistent. Methinks they screwed the pooch with that bit of dialogue.

Umm Wiki's locked for another half hour...

As for the usage of Lola and Lolo, Argentinians use it as an exchange for young lady/man or kids of each gender. Lola being a nickname for Dolores? First time I've heard of it being used like that, but its clear that Vega's hispanic so for him to use that it would have to be a country in deep South America for him to use Lola without it sounding weird and his character model doesn't really match that.

Saw this tweet from Jessica Merizan this morning (had trouble uploading a screenshot)

I can FINALLY say why I am in love with James Vega! He is voiced by my
tween heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. Bloody brilliant too! #masseffect

Freddie Prinze Jr. is voicing Vega. Freddie. Prinze. Jr.

Vega's sexy factor just went down about 50 points. Hyurgh.

Now it's a little funnier since he's being voiced by a puerto rican guy. I suppose that's a little more fitting, also I can see the voice matching the face so not a horrible pick.

So if I romance him with femshep does she become Buffy? If so then I think I know Shepard stops the reapers.

I'm 99.9999999999% sure that big Ben was voice by Richard Armitage, British actor, most recent to the trailer he played Lucas North in Spooks (BBC spy drama). I'd just finished watching it when the big Ben trailer came out and recognised the voice straight away, watch a few clips of him and you'll see what I mean.

Men are not my thing, but I love the guy's voice :)
