Hey guys,

I completed every loyalty mission, using paragon speech options to stop the inter-crew arguements. Even though I used the paragon option for Tali, sending non-critical data to the Geth from Tali, and therefore retained her loyalty, AND did the romance option for her, she died at the end. She's the only person to have died, and I can't see it being due to ship upgrades (which I had all of) or speech choices (which I made correctly).

I didn't use her as the hacker, I used legion, and I used perfect choices for the fireteam via Garrus- I completed Mass Effect 2 on the xbox360 using this exact strategy, and yet she survived on the console.

So I'm putting this down to a glitch. If you guys don't think so, is there any help someone could give me in where I could have gone wrong? Also, is there a way to edit her back into the game? If this is a glitch I'll be damned if I suffer the consequences of it in Mass Effect 3!

If its a glitch, then replaying the suicide mission with the same decisions will see her survive.

If she still dies, then it would be a case of you choosing poorly at some point in the SM.

If all else fails, you can try using the save game editor linked in my sig to bring her back in, just bear in mind that this could completely screw up the save game for importing into ME3.

Cheers, I definitely know that my choices in the SM were the right ones, but maybe theres something random that's different on the PC?

IDK, I just feel cheated when I got the romance option sorted then had to bury her less than an hour later.

Edit: and what if it were a glitch from earlier in the game? I'm really looking for a measureable solution, rather than a "let's completely redo the game AGAIN in the exact same way" solution. I only did this becuase I wanted my best xbox saves' choices to coincide with my best PC save.

who did you take with you on the final mission? i.e who did you take to fight the final boss?
Also do you have Zaeed?

Many say there aren't "random" deaths at the line, but I have had Mordin die, while doing everything right as well. It got to the point he goes back with the crew to protect him. The two options you have are to replay the SM and make sure, Garrus, Zaeed, and Grunt all loyal stay at the line, and hope it works, alternately you can either send her back with crew or take her to final boss. As the second option you can just use this editor to untic the died flag...

Yup, I have Zaeed AND Kasumi, and both were loyal and happy, thanks to my paragon points

Yeah, I unticked the dead flag on her since I was so annoyed at it- even according to the editor before I started through the relay she was Loyal and blablabla. It's annoying to say the least, considering the amount of hours I've dumped into this game on both consoles.

Did you assign correct people to their jobs? for example, Kasumi, Legion and Tali are the best for the Steam Tunnel. Garrus, Miranda and Jacob are the best for the Team Leader. Zaed, Garrus and Grunt are great for holding the Line. For all three of them are tough with complimentary skills.

Mordin is good for helping Cerberus crew and Colonists back to ship.

Samara, Morinth and Jack are excellent for biotic bubble.

Did you full upgrade your ship? A fully upgraded ship will make everyone surive to the Collector base.

Seriously who did you take with you to the final battle? That may be the problem.

If you have done everything right, leave her behind at the hold the line mission along with Garrus, Zaeed and Grunt. Alternatively bring her along to kill the human reaper.

Edit: You mentioned she died, but not how. Holding the line?

I had the same problem. Tali and Mordin can kind of randomly die holding the line. Just take her with you to the Reaper and send Mordin back with the crew or the other way round and you should be fine. I also think it may have to do something with taking a "tank" with you to the Reaper, that is Zaeed and Grunt. I took Garrus and Zaeed when I got Tali killed.

Yes if you take Garrus and Zaeed, it's no wonder you lost her.  If you're interested in how this works check out the sticky.  It goes into great detail.  The suicide mission isn't random.
