This is a bit of a shock for me, a shame to see it go.

Hudson is responsible for a lot of great game series chief among them Adventure Island and Bomberman as well as creating the overlooked (in North America anyway) but great Turbografx-16 (PC Engine) that has some incredible games like Gate and Lords of Thunder, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, the Bonk series, and others.

Hudson has also worked with Nintendo on quite a few games series since the Nintendo 64 era including Mario Party and Pokemon.

My first instinctive response? It was inevitable. I can't remember from the past 5 years enjoying a game made by the bumble bee. I loved the bizarre silliness of Bonk, and Bomberman certainly has a staple in gaming history.

I'm not sure what else to say.
