and now this with those dlc/s ;/ i just hope the dlc will be avaiable to buy.
is anyone interested how polish version of the game sounds? awfully, just read text without anything, take money and go away

That's why I asked them about language/region lock. Dunno why they haven't asnwered so far.
Regardless, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't US version from Amazon will be equal to 265 PLN with currect exchange rate (without shipping, of course)?

Yeah, but with Origin we can select game language, I dont remember exactly when, either during product activation or a tthe beginning of installation

Bleh. I think it's a disease for most if not all Eastern European localizations, regardless what we talking about - be that movie or game. It seems that local "actors" simply don't get what they doing there. Plus texts usually being translated without seeing game itself, by loc-kits, or whatever, so this creating hilarious situations in-game later. Or maybe it's just a lack of good actors, don't know really (though can't blame Witcher). If localizers finds 4-6 actors who can perform better than on "mediocre" level, they start to use them everywhere, so sometime you really don't understand what the hell you listening in - those voices are everywhere: TV, movies, games, some audio books, Ad, Radio... You play one game – there they are, play another – again, those familiar voices, switching to move – here they come again. That's some Fantasy Wars of Bad Company Twin Peaks... (Titles were chosen completely random from my head)

Yeah, I know, I chose English when purchased DA2, prior installation. Some EA support dude (before they reformed their support) told me I would be able to do that with ME3 and will have "that language specific version" (i.e. US for English) without any "oh, noes, Shepard, you can't go with me to kick Shadow Broker bollocks because you Pole!". That's why I ordered ME3 there in first place. God, I hope they won't infringe that bethesda-like region-lock, it'll be a total disaster, and not only for shipping rate&time.
Pfeh. And you think they call it "Pole position" for a reason!Posted Image

I should stop being suprised everytime things are going bad for/in/with Poland. Oh, well.
It's not that bad anyway.

Ow, well, they could cut us out of franchise entirely. Or do something as terrible as New Vegas - separate reservation for Slavs. Pfeh.

Well damn.....EA must really hate Poland with a passion to shaft its player out of DLC and now promotional content like this. What did you all do to EA to cause such lashback....kill their dog?

Well, according to bethesda's actions too (I never get tired to kick that dead horse, it seems), it's their damn puking vengeance on us for Warsaw Pact.

WTH is this crap? EA Poland just can't do anything properly. Someone from the "base" EA should look at what the local division is doing...

Well, considering that we can't avoid origin for playing ME3 anyway, I say it's time to snap out of it.

Who the hell let EA Poland do that? As a long-time player, I DEMAND, not ask, DEMAND reorganising this sad and worthless group.

NO to EA Poland. Go to hell with them, or give us some real distributors, actually doing something for US, not for the money. I'm eager to be under EA Czech or Russian or whatever, just dont let these half-wits do another stupid decision behind our backs.

Both Origin and EA Poland's lack of intelect caused the cause - I won't buy ME3. Screw you.

hahahahahaha.....as if they are more competent....EA is ran by a bunch of people that all think like Cartman from South Park....in places like the US, Canada, UK and so on they had people offer them waggons of money for the exclusivity to the preorder bonuses so they gave up the good stuff but if no retailer rich enough paid for Poland's exclusivity of course they'd try to get all the preorders themselves even when they can't sell you most versions of the game.

This is one of the reasons all pre-order DLC should be available for purchase for everyone after a while, including the GameStop exclusive this time, thank you very much.

Pre-order DLC isn't even the matter, EA Poland AGAIN shoved us middle finger, after terrible and forced polonisations, broken translations, regional blockades and throwing awe-God-why high prices for their games. Blizzard's the only company throwing higher prices.

I boycott the Polish EA division, not the distribution method. Which sucks as well, but not as hard as the blokes behind it.

Why do you guys even bother with localized versions of the game? Just order the game online from a UK store and enjoy. Well, that's what I would do anyway.

The game is almost two times more expensive for us in the UK. That's why we're interested in our version.

Shipping hurts in a country where standard salary varies at 600-800 euro/month.

Can anyone here done anything properly other than epically fail? I dunno.

Can't say for "profitability" here, though, but I think some companies actually can pay some money for "exclusive rights". According to missing stock from Steam that will be 1C/Cenega - since most of their "foreign" stock is totally omitted from Steam.

They did it with Fallout New Vegas, but it is really problematic to buy FNV pack here now. Yeah, I know, it's not EA, but if they have management of same degree...

Our income generally lower than in western countries, so to make us buy something (other then turn to "blood magic") they have to cut prices, to make goods here more appealing for us. Few games have universal pricetag. Sometime it comes without repercussions, sometime they are present, Ostrowiak mentioned some of them - poor localization, broken translations, regional blockades. I'd also add delays with patches and incompatibility with "Rest of the world" versions (I still remember PITA we had here with NWN2). Most funniest thing - sometimes ALL these repercussion comes without lowered pricetag. So we pay "Worldwide" price, but receive castrated game. Very funny.
Ordering western copies could solve many problems, but, as already been said, their pricetags are higher, there is delay due shipping, there is greater shipping cost, plus "transportational risks", including damage and total loss.

But you know, all this situation reminds me next. Imagine, beginning of LotSB, where Shepard enters Liara's apartment. But, instead of letting him inside, door police officer kicks Shepard out of the apartment and yells "THIS IS POLAND!"
Yeah, I know, Eastern Europe will be more correct.
Sorry, just can't get that thing out of my head.Posted Image

Oh, I see. I know that standards are different in eastern europe compared to some of the western countries, but I didn't think there would be THAT much of a difference. I guess that kinda puts things into perspective.
I can sympathize with you guys, and I would probably be pissed as well, if I was in your shoes.

Thanks for support.
Maybe my "English" is more like "Brutish Engrish" for native speakers, but I prefer to enjoy original VO, other than localized: Western actors tend to work out every cent spent on them. Even if "credits" lists an "alphabet soup" you never heard before and probably will never hear again.
Well, I better stop lest someone colour me whiner. Posted Image

It seems we both don't like local VO.Posted Image
However, if memory serves, I've heard only 4 games with german VO - Gothic trilogy and Witcher. Maybe also Jagged Alliance 2 but I really don't remember. Posted Image

I think everyone hates synchronized versions of their favourite games and other media as well for that matter. Basically, any kind of media synhronized into foreign language turns out.....well, horrible. It looses it's authenticity, there are usually lip sync issues, sometimes the voice itself really doesn't fit the character, and I could go on.
Why they insist on localizing media in certain countries is beyond me. I can understand the multi-language subtitles (wich should be enough, and it's a much cheaper process compared to full voice-overs), but the attrocious voice overs are beyond me.
/rant off
Yeah, I tend to get pretty frustrated, when I see fellow gamers are getting screwed by incompetent shot-calling dinosaurs.
