Also for great justice and because apparently some people missed it:

There does seem to be a lack of info on Femshep in ME3?

Maybe Femshep walked into a kitchen and was never seen again.

Critical Mission Failure.

Only reason femShep would walk into the kitchen would be to kick the cook's ass because the food sux.

But thats how it begins! She kicks the chefs ass, then shows the chef how to make a proper meal, then realizes she missed her true calling and never leaves!

Shepard on one side, FemShep on the other.

And seeing as you'll get to play as FemShep in the demo, why the need for a trailer ? It won't be as good as an actual demo in showing off FemShep's new look.

Well then why do we need trailers for anything at all? Why should there be trailers for companions? They are not Shepard! Why should there be trailers for weapons and armor? They're just accessories!!

Silly silly logic there... The simple answer is, because it's marketable, that's why. Female Shepard fans are more numerous then ever and have the potential to even grow more IF they would just show her off. Because the female gaming market is bigger then ever and growing. We are getting mature with our own disposable income and choosing to spend it in gaming, our daughters are right behind us looking at what we play and saying: "One day I'll play something like that too".

Seriously a femshep trailer isn't wasted on anyone and would be a smart move on BW's part, and they know it.

You seem to have got the wrong end of the stick.

I was just saying that after a demo that allows you to choose your gender, a trailer would be a tad redundant. Anyone remotely interested in this game will get the demo, and those that aren't interested enough to get the demo aren't going to be swayed by finding out that you can choose your gender. Its one of the most known things about ME, and Bioware games in general.

I have no objection to a FemShep trailer. Indeed, I'd quite like to hear some of Hale's lines. I only asked why some people are so desperate to see the trailer - the few people that always seem to jump down Bioware's throat about this trailer at any opportunity already know FemShep is in the game, and will experience playing as her in the demo.

Which are my friends more likely to respond to--"Hey, download this big file and play this video game!" Or, "Hey, look at this two-minute trailer!"

The trailer is to get people not already addicted to Bioware games to consider downloading the demo.

Umm no, tell that to yourself actually. Your arguing that the demo serves the same function as a trailer. And I'm telling you there's a difference and why. The demo will do nothing to showcase femshep to people who don't know about her.

And what Wynne just said basically. :P As to why we're being vocal it is because it was promised, had Bioware not said anything we wouldn't be asking where it is and if it's still coming out. I don't know how many times I've got to type this?!

:?

edit: Also this is not a rage thread; give us a trailer or else! OP was just asking and got an answer, though it's not definitive. Then we have people coming in here saying femshep and the female populace aren't even that important... That's when things get sticky.

Just keep smiling..,

The demo doesn't factor into it. I think everyone expected the FemShep trailer to come out a while before the demo. We're not just going to stop wanting it because we can play her in the demo in a few weeks. It was promised to us, it shows that Bioware cares about female gamers and gamers that prefer to play as females, and it's good for marketing.

I have no idea when Bioware plans to release it though, the clock to ME3 release is ticking and it's been months.

As much as I dislike the Call of Duty series on principle, I can't deny that they made one hell of a fantastic commercial for Black ops. You know, the one where they show people of all kinds playing the game: male, female, black, white, older, younger, etc. BioWare marketing does seem to be geared primarily and exclusively towards males. It would be nice to have them acknowledge the fact that women play their games as well.

ETA: However, I do fear that femShep will be given the Miranda treatment: focusing more on her 'assets' than her accomplishments.

Call of Duty is a strange game. Everybody is hooked on it, even my sister who does not play games much, well at all.#

Why is it so appealing?

Before their was CoD their was Halo. And just like Halo its easy to get into and it has a huge social fanbase. Basically if everyone's doing I should check it out. Now I'm with you on why is so popular? I stopped playing it after Activison showed it true colors. Only CoD 4 was the best, the rest are mediocre at best. It's only surviving because Activision is the biggest publisher out their and has a very aggressive advertisement campaign.

I'd just like to see a femshep trailer to see if that got rid of the gorilla walk, it made me laugh when I realized they gave femshep the same skeleton as male shep, not a pretty sight when walking.

He he Absolutely, I read somewhere femshep is indeed getting her very own animations this time, cannot for the life of me remember where though.

edit: There was a thread/petition months ago I remember posting on where we asked for these animations, but I did read somewhere on the internet that they are coming. If I find where I'll link it.

Well the "lady sway" is synonomous with military discipline.

I'm not looking for her to walk like some catwalk model, just want to see her arms properly down by her side and an everyday walk gait.

Same for me (with dude Shep).

I don't know any guys who have that weird limb and neck twist while they're jogging. Downright disturbing it was. :?
