The miracle of future cosmetics?
The problem is not so much that Femshep looks young (as a 30+ year old probably would by that time in the future), but that compared to Sheploo she looks too young.
They're both supposed to be the same age, and yet Sheploo looks like a modern day human in his thirties while this femshep looks like a modern day 18 year old girl.
Could somebody please tell me what this thread is all about?
We have posts about womens rights,
We have posts about women in the army
The opening post is complaining about a lack of trailer for female shepard
We have posts complaining about female shepard fan group on Bioware
We have posts complaining about Female Shepard looking far too young compared to Shepard
We have people posting videos of their fan made trailers.

I personally like this femshep video because it shows the many faces of custom created femsheps. We didn't need a default shep, we ARE the default shepards. Bioware should have made something like that instead.
Not bad, I actually like they default they chose. She looks fierce and angry, like the commander should.
Does anyone else think that the new default FemShep looks a little...young? Just her facial features look more akin to someone who's 18-20 instead of 31
Great healthcare. But yeah, she should at least look slightly older.
LOL Not really sure how you guys tell age, but she looks like mid to late twenties to me, that and not everyone ages the same. I personally am not that crazy about Sheploo's character model, but even he's aged a bit more than 32. But if he's 32 during ME1 that makes him 37? 38? for this one, right?

I'd just like to chime in and say to all the people who seem to be of the opinion that women are in some way less effective soldiers than men. I'm a male spec ops unit leader. I have three women in my unit. Recon and stealth, sniper, demo. Those three women are without a doubt the finest soldiers I've ever had the privilege of working with, both mentally and physically. So, to say that women can't do a "man's" job, that is pure fabrication. On the topic: As a FemShep player myself, I'm glad to see that BioWare are giving her the recognition she deserves
I think I love you!
The above art of FemShep is a fan made just FYI.

Equally the posture and camera angle
on the FemShep art shown narrows the face and makes the features seem
smaller than they are, which in turn makes the character look younger.
Probably going to need to see this trailer or play the demo to discern
just how young FemShep looks.
Ah yeah that's probably true. If that really is the basic design they're going for; we'll still have to wait to see her from more angles.

I don't really mind if there is a trailer or not. Like I keep saying, the fans will make one anyway. Also do you know what would be great, asking the developers of Bioware to make the "female" option to be more prominant in the marketing. Like in Jade Empire.
John Shepard is established as the marketing Shepard. I wouldn't mind seeing more Jane Shepard in the marketing too, but I wouldn't have sleepless nights about it. In fact I have more sleepless nights about that frightening image of famale Shepard about to stab someone with an omni-tool.

"Please don't hurt me!!!"

What.
He was 29 in ME1, and is physically about 30, and legally about 32 in ME3.

I thought he was 32 in ME1, then five years from ME1 to 3. Although now that I think about it I didn't account for the actual timeline in the story.

As DayusMakhina has pointed out we won't really know what she really looks like in game until they *gasp* show us some footage with our FemShep.
I like this fan video right here: youtu.be/k2i8Sb73p4A by Leofina

I have been in the military myself but never seen a female soldier other than in the medical unit. I have no idea if they can keep up with men in all respects. But I can easily believe that male soldiers are overestimated. I mean we all have usually the picture of a perfect athlete etc. but frankly, the males are also not all top of the line. I was rather sporty in my army time but nowhere near an athlete and I beat some guy from a special recon unit in a long distance run in full gear. Just saying, comparing soldiers with athletes, even in special units or whatever, is a bit off. Navy seals I can imagine but only because I also watched these hollywood movies. Never met one myself.Eshaye wrote...

However I think it is like this. Women can do alot of things better than average or good males. But most likely they reach their physical limits sooner. Mentally though they may have the edge. Especially in emergency situation. But really it is different from person to person (aka personality to personality) for example how far you can go after the point you think you can go no further etc.
Oh and it also may have to do with women in general needing to work harder to get to the same rank/position as a man in the army. So it takes simply a stronger personality to get there for a woman than a man.

David Silverman said, at Pax 2011 when they unveiled Default FemShep that, "...you will see her appearing in various forms of screenshots, and the packaging of your Collector's Edition, and we even promised a trailer, so that's the one [RedShep] you'll see."
We've seen nothing. Not a single screenshot, and I suppose it really won't matter that he said it'd happen when the demo rolls out..

i was under the impression that women are not generally part of the front line infantry because it would distract the men from all those bullets whizzing overhead, (and that doesn't pay
