Here's a close up from the official poster. I think she'd be amazing with Hale's voice, it matches her face quite well I think.

Image IPB

She looks like a hardass, which definitely matches Jennifer Hale's portrayal of Shepard.

I like the picture well enough - but hardass..seriously?

Her face says "I will f**king murder you and kick your baby in the mouth." I personally like it.:D

Would that be before or after she pulls the rifle off her back and gives you a new mouth in the center of your forehead?

I'm pretty sure the pic you have been looking at is a "fan made" pic, I could be wrong.

Albeit it does look similar to the pics that have been released from Bioware's concept of the female Shepard last July http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Commdor/Vote_for_ME3's_Female_Shepard.

The issue in general here is, no one knows 100% what she will look like, things could have been tweeked and altered since the one or two pics released sometime last year. I admit the anticipation is overwhelming as I will be making a playthrough as "femShep" or maybe several. I think we should focus a little more time and energy on taking the proper avenue to get some information ie; twitter or facebook to the Dev team and/or researching the progressive uploads via Bioware in regards to the development to this highly anticipated default "FemShep". I've attached the link to the original contest to get the ball rolling for anyone that is interested in being constructive.

I know men who still crack those stupid jokes in their 20's.

I'm sure they're just fooling around and teasing you. I'd say: "man up" but since you're a woman I'll just say: just show them you're the bigger person and try not to care when they crack jokes like that. Or better, laugh with them and show them you understand that they're just fooling around, maybe replying with a joke about boys/men.

Yuqi wrote...

The only thing worse then that, is being female and working in the gaming industry.

I'm a man working in the game industry (I'm a game designer/developer and environment artist/designer). I have plenty of female colleagues. None of them complain about working among us men.  So really, what the hell is your problem?

It's been a few years since I was in the industry, so it's probably changed somewhat. Oh but when you throw a joke back at them, suddenly your a slu*t ect ect.

I don't have a problem,  like I said Ican see both sides of the argument..

FemShep's got you covered. :D

Took me a bit, but I found it. IGN article about Jane getting an official face

http://xbox360.ign.c.../1191247p1.html

http://www.g4tv.com/...ally-a-redhead/

So both pictures I posted were of the earlier renderings of Jane Shepard. She's a ginger, freckles and all and she's a killer!

Hopefully they show her lethality in the trailer

Honestly of all heroes the most unlikely would probably be a ginger green eyed freckled woman. That's exactly why I wanted that (and made my femShep accordingly). I can't believe so many people actually thought the same. Actually I shouldn't be surprised probably. And I didn't even vote since I missed it. So ... well ... surprise, surprise. But I am happy and that's why I want to see this trailer. Already.

I agree she's a great looking Shepard, I would honestly like to see a slightly older looking female Sheppard, but I'm sure if the shadows playout like they did in ME2 she will inadvertently look older. I know it was said that some of her movements would be slightly different from default male Shepard. This has me even more excited for a trailer and/or the Demo.

Well maybe not unlikely, rather rare.

David Gaider said the Warden would be considered by the Sten as an 'unicorn'. As in something extremely rare, bascially the exception to the rule. That's where I started thinking about making the protagonist a rare sight. Ginger are rare, green eyes are rare, etc. So you could actually see at first sight that she's special.

Reminds me of Amelia Pond from Doctor Who but tougher and doesn't need a Centurion to save her ass.

They are rare, creatures of legend. You don't believe they exist until you meet one. Like that. According to the Qun the Warden couldn't exist. The Warden is a bas, worse even could be a female and as such not a proper warrior (in the eyes of the Qun). Pretty much like femShep to some of the posters in this threads lol. Anyway, Sten cannot deny the Warden and what he/she has done. So he considers him/her as an exception. Something that only appears in legends and stories usually. If you weren't eyewitness you wouldn't believe it etc.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to insinuate you've never played as FemShep, I'd have no way to know that. I was just saying go back to character creation in ME1 or 2 to check it out....

Qunari are weird like that. Women and men have separate duties that the opposite sex seem to not be allowed to do because of the Qun. A man could be a soldier but not a artisan. In a way to them its like saying a man can have a baby.

I think Sten at one point said he thought the Warden was a man lol.

Well it is against his believe that a woman can be a warrior. So either she is a man or not a warriorImage IPB

Hence the unicorn allegory. She is no man and still probably the best warrior he has ever seen so she must be something completely different etc. 'Hero' would be a discription if you consider 'heroes' a group of people who are above and beyond social and other restrictions that 'normal' people would have.
