Hello all, I just had a few questions regarding a build that I am working on.  It is a shield warrior with STR/Dex that uses a dagger (I'm thinking like a soldier in the Roman Legions), who will use medium armor for more stamina.

1.  Would it be feasible/effective to take threatening, use that stance at the beginning of battle to draw aggro, then switch to shield wall for defense, and still keep the aggro on me?

2.  Also, what is the max STR required for the best medium armor in the game?

3.  And, would shield bashing talents be useful (I am planning on putting 36 STR at least to max this line out, and the rest in DEX)

I have been thinking of this concept for a while, and I'm pretty excited about it, so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I would advise Taunt over Threaten. Threaten is not so great for aggro generation. Just time the Taunt activations well. Ale the Prerequsite for Taunt - Precise Striking is also very usefull.

If you decide to take Threaten after all, nothing is stopping you from running Shield Wall together with it. You can have multiple stances running at any time (but the 3 shield stances: Shield Cover, Shield Defence and Shield Wall are mutually exclusive).

I think the offensie talents are pretty good, but if you would like to actively use them, you may end up needing to pump Willpower for more Stamina.

Overall I'm not too sure about splitting Str/Dex. Going Dex heavy instead would net you good defence and you should be able to dodge most blows. Medium Dex might not be enough and you might still get hit a lot - and then a medium armour won't really cut it for a tank.

Thank you very much, that information gives me a lot to work with. I think I may go with threaten, just bc i am thinking of going reaver, and i can get frightening appearance for more aggro effectiveness, also the rest of the threaten line gives bonuses to fighting multiple enemies, and eventually stamina increases from killing enemies, which could help to power the shield talents.

Or, I might just take precise striking and focus on being more of a tough defensive character that doesn't necessarily draw crowds.
