It would be the most amazing video game moment in history if Vega pulled up his shirt and said "Dis Situation?!?!"

"He's in the ME3 squad over my favourite character!" or "He's just a character made to cater to the CoD crowd!"

Personally, I like what I've seen of him. Anyway, pretty much every ME3 squad member, without exception, seems to have a legion of irrational haters, so Vega isn't anything special there.

i can understand that but he doesn't have that kind of personality . . . does he? i hope not b/c yea that would make me wanna kill him if he was like those morons from Jersey Shore

No, he doesn't.

People here refer to him as being from Jersey Shore because he a) has muscles, and all people with muscles are just like The Situation and B) has a skin color that isn't lily-white and isn't black, so clearly it must be spray-on-tan orange.

lol seriously though he does resemble one of the dudes from that show.

if only he can falcon punch a female reporter in kasumis bar on the normandy

From what I've read, he seems like a bit of a derp. I personally have no opinion, but it's quite easy to dismiss a new character that takes up much-coveted squad space.

I do wish that he could wear a Pink Tutu to ****** some people off and scare others.

I personally dislike him from being one more soldier when there is already Ash and where other class still seems to be missing. I dislike him too for taking the place of a Krogan squadmate as the big bad thing which can't die.

I will withold judgement till I actually see what he is like in the game itself. I do agree though with others that they could of filled that role with someone from ME2. However I could end up really liking him.

I don't hate him. In fact, from what I've read from the leaks he'll be one of my favorites. But his face IS uncanny valley to the max in some screens.

The only reason I can think is that they have "judged a book by its cover" and think the is not an interesting character.

When I first started play ME3, I didn't use him much as I focussed on teh characters I knew from ME1 or ME2. Now that I have started using him, I have really grown to like him. I see lots of people calling him "fauxhawk" or "meathead" or whatever. Just like all of BioWare's other charac ters, there is a lot more to the person than what they look liek on the outside.

I expect most fans who have played ME1 or ME2 will do just what I did and do a playthrough with their favorite charcaters from before. I'm hoping that once they play a second pass or whatever, they give Vega a chance. He's much better than people seem to think.

How can people have an opinion on a character we know nothing about, and have barely seen beyond a few released screenies and trailers?

Don't really "hate" Vega or anything, but I prefer Jacob's look over his. Vega looks too much like a typical Call of Duty army character to me.

Because BSN is a microcosm of our generation. In public and in front of tv cameras we're all peace, love and all that. But behind the scenes (particularly with the anonymity the internet provides) we are just as closed minded, bigoted and idiotic as we claim are parents are.

Well I can actually sympathise with this. I also would rather have one or two of my ME2 squad instead but oh well.

I know it's racist. That's why I posted it. If you read this thread you'll notice why I am right though.

This is true, especially when it comes to Tali, Ashley, and Liara.

I guess just from a personal standpoint, he got a squad slot over many of my favouries from ME2 and in comparison to them his design/parts of his story i've read about seem fairy generic compared to certain charcters in ME2.

Don't hate him... just skeptical as to why he's realy there
