Well I doubt it will go on like this. People probably just preordererd early. I'd say it stay below 1 million. Probably even below 900,000.

The general trend in preordering history suggests otherwise. Yes, quite a few preordered early this time, but this last two months is historically where things really start to spike upward, and this past week suggests a continuation of tradition.

It will be easier to tell if there is a correlation if somebody can find the pre-order numbers from ME1.

Personally, I would like to see aggregate sales for each game title instead of just being completely broken out by by platform. Platform is important but it just seems better to list by title and provide total numbers and percentages by platform within the aggregate chart.

Yeah but I think xbox is the biggest chunk. Like 60-70 percent of the total.

Yup, 360 gamers love ME3. The preorders for last week were almost more than PS3's numbers total.

It's probably not sensible when some platforms sales are not as fully reported as others.  A game which sold mostly on the PC through digital retailers which aren't reflected by VG chartz wouldn't be comparable with primarily console games.

My order was canceled a few months ago for no reason, and I went in yesterday to inquire about it and all they said was that nothing could be done and I should just go to the midnight release. Now amazon has a customer for the CE

I hate to go off topic, but talking about preorders, a pc game usually are cheaper then a console game right? You get a certain bucks off cause they have to pay the console makers a fee to publish it on their platform.

Anyway here in Sweden that sum is way off when it comes to the Collectors Edition. At all retailers the difference is huge, about 300 SEK ( about 45 dollars ) less for the PC edition vs 360/PS3. I find it abit strange, that's all.

          PC = 699 SEK
360/PS3 = 999 SEK

Well I'd expect one major reason for that is that ME3 is the last of the trilogy - outside of spin-offs and whatnot in the mythology, there's no more shepard/reapers after this. This is it.

wowzers!

o_O Did we just enter a scooby doo episode?

I know they charge more, but I always thought that expense was plat. Why should they pay Sony/MS more if they make a Collectors edition. doesnt make sense.

Or maybe EA are greedy *wink* *wink*

Edit: I should add that the difference is only half with the standard edition. 150 SEK.

Well, let's hope Mass Effect 3 is worth it then. Or a massive RAGESTORM will hit the BSN once again.

When take into account of other platforms AND also just as important the non-US aka Europe and Asia (is it being sold in Asia?) you are looking well over the million mark already in pre-orders. This is likely to increase over next 8 weeks.

If I was to guess I think pre-orders in total across all platforms and regions will hit the 1.5-2million mark or there about by release day.
