Also, more people played ME2, so there was that. Whereas ME1 was fairly obscure, although well received, ME2 got rave reviews and loads of GOTY awards, so that probably got some people's attention. I think most people don't pre-order games if they aren't fans of the series or at least the developers--I certainly don't. If ME3 brings in as many new fans as ME2 did relative to the number of existing fans there had been at the time, it bodes well for the series, the devs, and possibly RPGs in general.DominusVita wrote...
Well I'd expect one major reason for that is that ME3 is the last of the trilogy - outside of spin-offs and whatnot in the mythology, there's no more shepard/reapers after this. This is it.o_O Did we just enter a scooby doo episode?wowzers!
(Not that I personally want ME to become CoD or even FF or something, but it would be nice to come back to the universe some time after ME3, even if not as Shepard.)
