Also Thane and Zaeed are basically just as over the top as a non augmented Kai Leng is. The Former can seemingly disappear when he enters a shadow and take down multiple armored people in hand to hand before they can even react. The latter can get into hand to hand combat with a Krogan Battlemaster or Warlord and win. Hell the latter survived a freaking point blank hypervelocity round the skull. Zaeed is a freaking Krogan.

A rock is Shepard's "intellectual" equal. This is the same idiot who compared the genophage to the FCW and utters such brilliant lines as "you're just a machine and machines can be broken!".

Well it has never been BW's strong point.
They tend to make the protagonist smart by making characters around them dumb.

I liked the novels but kai leng was defiantly to over powered to the point he was invincible made him less believably as a character but he is a good villain just needs to be toned down a bit
