Which characters are mentioned in the epilogue?  And by epilogue I mean the various slides that follow in Origins after you speak to each of your party members and Queen Anora, King Alistair, or the both of them?

Obviously Alistar if you make him king.

Your romance at the time.

Morrigan.

But do the other people get mentioned?

I've heard Sten may.

Ditto for Shale (though I haven't seen it in my endings).

Not sure about Oghren or Zev (if you don't romance him).

How does one make these various slides happen?

I haven't seen Wynne pop up in any slides but that may be because I tend to side with the mages constantly.

Every companion will be mentioned in the epilogue slides, provided you didn't kill them (for the ones that can be killed) during the playthrough, or failed to recruit them during the playthrough.

Here is a list of all possible outcomes for all companions and what game decisions are needed to make them appear : http://dragonage.wik...logue_(Origins), the whole article is a spoiler of course.

I'm all for spoilers. I didn't see about half my party in the epilogue slides and I had recruited each member.

Alistair, Leliana, and Morrigan were mentioned.

However I saw no slides (emphasis on slides as I spoke to them after picking my boon and so on) for.:

Sten, Shale, Wynne, Zevran, nor Oghren.

They''re not mentioned in the epilogues because you can just talk to them after you beat the Archdemon and they'll tell you what they're up to.

This isn't a criticism against anyone but why does everyone care so much about the epilogues?

There fun to read :) At least, for me they were...but that may have been because I died...-.-
Its kinda cool to see what the characters think about you after you were gone; like the fact that Ohgren named his daughter after me and that I became a paragon and all the dusters went crazy. I would have hated to miss that. It gives closeure, I think, its officaly the end of that game, and they would have left alot of questions unanswered without it.
Thats just my take on it anyways.

Yeah but none of that stuff counts. And I don't mean that in the long run way. i mean that in the way that Origins says one thing then Awakening changes it, or DA2 changes it.

For example, It said Morrigan was in the Orleasian court but that's never mentioned, instead she was tracking down the eluvian. Or take Anders and Justice. I think the epilogues would be better if they mattered, if what was said in them was what actually happened.

This really bugs me too. I've recently been looking into modding the epilogue slides so that they are consistent but I keep running into dead ends. There has to be a way to do this though. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

To answer the OP, the deciding factor is whether or not you survive the game. If you do, you can walk up to the companions and ask them their plans at the coronation, and only Alistair, Morrigan and the love interest get mentioned. Otherwise, since you are unable to do this, you get slides.
