Haven't read the comics, but a few synopses does show this guy's an interesting character. Competent, doesn't throw away lives, and looks to stand for the "advancement of humanity" mission of Cerberus that is a noble goal, but without the extremist, wasteful, and/or anti-alien policies. I'd be happy to encounter him in ME3, as antagonist, ally, or both.

^Well, Casey is not a writer.

Plus, it would be a spoiler to talk that much.

Just say "they are bad guys in this game" is enough, but at the same time not deny there are good people there as well.

The last name 'Petrovsky' really seems to bother me, too. Petrov is Russian, can't deny that.
Petrovsky? Yeah, I have those werid doubts. Writer case of did not do research? Just slap a random Russian sounding name?

But I don't know, feel free to prove me wrong. He still sounds cool as a character. A nice change for Cerberus-types.

The name sounds like a mixture between Polish and Russian to me.

^Though it is possible that he is Russian with some Ukrainian ancestry.

Like his grand-grand-grandfather married Russian woman and lived in Russia and last name stick for next generations, but Oleg pretty much lived like a Russian in Russia and considers himself Russian and other who lived with him also consider him Russian since it is like many generations from Ukrainian ancestry.


Though that's my theory.
