It would be hard to write 19 squadmembers all into the plot, plus some of them just make more sense NOT being on the squad.

Oh

That reminds me, weren't we supposed to go and minifacture more Earths to use as cannon fodder against the Reapers?

ME2 had too many squadmates and most of them felt like they were invisible for most of the missions. With a smaller squad they can add more dialogues and make them more realistic.

Not all of them were designed to be super duper plot centric.

See: Thane, Samara/Morinth, Grunt, Mordin, Zaeed, Kasumi, Tali, Garrus.

Good one.

Anyway, i'm 100% sure Garrus will be SS romance option. Bio already annouced that there will be that kind of option in ME3, and, since you can only romance squadmates (which there are six at best, if OP is true), it doesn't leave too many guys to choose from to have gay romance, especially if you saved Ashley.

When it comes to same sex romances Dragon Age 2 set the pace for BioWare, at least that's what i think.

Well, uh, certain leaked material begs to differ with you. And that's all I'll say.

I thought that Vega was going to be the S/S option?

Also, there ARe other romanceable characters outside the main squad, bro.

I'm fine with the ME3 roaster...even more: it's the best ME roaster I've ever seen, of course it could have been better, but I find it great; most of my favourites are here and it's balanced for all my Shepards

Thanks Bioware !

This is close to what I feel so I am good. But I can understand the frustration if all of your favorites are sidelined.

And you can totally romance a few non-squadmates, including anyone you romanced in ME2.

I certainly hope you guys are right, i'm bisexual myself but changing all the squad members sexual preferences just to fit the player is not something that would go well with character developement, at least from what i've seen so far. Garrus never struck me as bi/gay.

Less is more. ME3 squad is good. More deeper character development and interaction with squad. More party banter. Plus I don't have to run all over my damn ship to talk to 12 ppl.

I didn't mind the large squad in ME2 but... it felts so disconnected. Kasumi was like OH HI I SPEAK TO EVERYONE BUT MY ARSE IS STUCK TO THIS COUCH.

I admit, in the briefings there were conversations between characters but.... that was it. Nothing else. Everyone was glued to their rooms and there was hardly this sense of interaction whatsoever.

From the leaked beta footage you will see that many characters speak to each other and... they feel more... whats the word... alive? Nono... rather that the sense you have a 'team' rather than a dozen disjointed morons who don't interact is present in ME3. I'm glad.

I don't think any of us are experts on Turian sexuality.

Female Shepard wants a word with you.

And Garrus with his reach/flexibility speech.

Mass Effect 3 comes with a roaster?  Is that some new type of weapon?

Ah, the ME3 squad mate issue, the bane of my existence, the issue that will either make or break ME3 for me, the main thing that moan and **** and complain about.

Yes it is a step back.

I don't think any sane person would argue that ME2's 12 squad mates were a bit too much and I also get why Bioware are going with a smaller squad for ME3 but ME3's confirmed squad is dis-respectful to almost all of ME2's squad mates and it is dis-respectful to fans of these squad mates. Bioware can argue for as long as they want that ME3's smaller squad means that we will have better dialogue, more squad banter, etc but at the end of the day if I don't give a **** about anyone on the ME3 squad then I fail to see how I will be able to appreciate all the effort they have made. I'd much rather go into battle with the people I trust, the people I care about instead a squad made up of people I have little or no emotional attachment to.

I dunno.

When I hear someone argue against a large squad, the point I see most often is "They aren't all connected to the story", which is a perfectly valid point. Characters like Grunt, Thane, Samara, Zaeed/Kasumi, etc honestly had little to nothing to do with anything. Not to say I don't like them (I do), they just had little to do with the overarching story.

@bold: I fully agree 110% on this though.

While the increased interaction and banter will be nice, it'll all be a waste if it's with people I could give less of a damn about. I'm as bitter as anyone else. At least for me personally  I have Liara and Garrus, who outfit my Sentinel Shepard nicely with their powers, and I can give Vega a chance.

Actually Mordin was pretty polt centric since you couldn't survive Horizon without him making that counter measure....... thing.

Hate Kaidan and Ashley, due to ME2

Love Tali, Liara, and Garrus

I had high hopes for Legion and Samara =[ and I feel bad for all those romance options that appear to be missing like the cerberus duo although their absence makes sense.
