Read and follow the "How to Report" sticky guide pinned up on top to describing first the laptop, then the fault.

It doesn't matter anymore. Laptop stopped working (that happens when someone thinks it needs a wash). Looking for a new laptop. Here's hoping that it will work then.

Just don't buy the cheapest they are selling, as those will only have onboard video for the graphics, and it will most likely be something from Intel that just can't do anything worth doing in a game. These days, AMD's "Fusion" has the best balance of graphics and processor power sold as one unit, and if teamed with even a low end HD 6470 M graphics card, end up able to run comparable with the HD 6570, which is a lot bigger step up than the mere 100 points of name code might seem to show.
