Well I'm trying not to get banned.

I've never been banned for posting an "oh look this thread again" image. I've got one for quoting an innapropriate link, one from that giant quote pyramid, one from just random posts in a troll thread, and one for talking like Gmagnum, but none for that.

Morinth enjoys entrapment. Waiting and luring her prey into a false sense of security and then going in for the kill. Listen to her dialogue while in her apartment. It's rather obvious. And EDI can't open an airlock unless she wants to risk the rest of the crew.

DUDE! I've been through Morinth's mission and dialogues more times than I started a new game. Killing Shepard on the Normandy is not entrapment it is a plain suicide, I repeat - Morinth killing Shepard on the Normandy = Morinth taking a gun to her head. It was a gamble for Shepards life and her life. She is a dare devil, not a suicidal person. Edi can open whatever she wants sealing the right doors, unless other crew members won't take care of Morinth. And if Morinth slaughters them all, Edi WILL open an airlock. Morinth is even on a different floor from Joker. Come on, think.

You say that as though she forces herself on Shepard. In that instance, EDI would most definetly kill Morinth. In fact, EDI should also know that the dangerous Ardat-Yakshi is on the ship due to the Cerberus listening devices. If she fails to stop Shepard from doing something stupid of his/her own volition, she's not about to go an instant attack and kill her(Morinth).

Ok now you go back to the game and listen to what Morinth says. All EDI devices have been disabled in her room. EDI still records her as Samara. But still has Shepards life signs on track. She would just think that Samara went rogue and killed Shepard, that is a threat to the crew.

Well, if you're getting her for her sex appeal, you're "screwed" (no pun initially intended), since YOU CANNOT CLOSE THE DEAL WITHOUT DYING!!!

No I am getting her because she appeals to me as a person more than Samara, and her skills are wider.

Keeping someone around for "sex appeal" is hardly the same thing as trying to have sex with them.

She's no better-looking than Samara anyway.

So then EDI doesn't know Morinth is in Samara's place. Even less of a reason to shoot her out of an airlock immediately.

Totally. One of the crew members murders Shepard, no reason to take a hostile actions at all. Edi would alert the crew that Shepard has died in Samara's room. The crew will investigate, and as I said before it follows.

Crew will investigate. Crew will take Shepard to Chakwas. Crew will ask Samara what happened. "Samara" will claim confusion. Crew will believe her. Crew disperses. Morinth escapes later.

Haha. Riight. Everybody loves Samara, and Shepards death on the fly in her room is totally fine. Why did she unplug EDI from her room hm?

Why doesn't EDI wonder that herself before that point hm? The only justifiable reason on both our parts, idiot ball.

Ok I would continue this argument down the legit investigation path but wait, silly me I even forgot the most interesting part. Kasumi and Grunt know that Morinth is Samara in disguise. Deal breaker..

Grunt calls her an Asari **** and mentions nothing more. Kasumi warns you not to do anything. You did it anything. And she's left there face-palming at your stupidity, before delving back into memories of Keiji.

One of my struggles in saving Morinth is that all of my Shepard's care about their crew.

Not one of my Shepards would ever bring a creature that can seduce and then kill her prey the way she does on to the Normandy. Look at the crew, every one of them would be a candy bar to Morinth and the fact that you are not only bringing her onboard but you are also disguising her as Samara? ... No.

Then EW Shepard already is not a fan of the whole mind meld so this takes that to the very next level of "dear Bacchus ... my worst fear in living color."

Saving Morinth fit none of my Shepards ... who knows, maybe down the road I will create a Shepard that this decision would make sense but for now ... Samara lives.

I just keep reading this thread to see if someone has a way that they RP saving her that makes sense to a certain type of Shepard but so far - nothing. Image IPB

Well I trusted Morinth to not mess with my crew. And what do you know? She never messed with them. Also I would love for her to NOT pose as Samara, and be open with everyone about her reqruitment.

Also I don't even need to roleplay to save Morinth. Saving Morinth would be MY choice if I was in ME for real. And I think the reasons are plenty in this thread.

DK ... While I tip my hat to you for your loyalty to Morinth and hope that it works out for you in ME3 ... I have yet to find a slant that would work for either myself or any of my Shepards to save Morinth. Well, in all honesty, there would never be a reason given for saving Morinth over Samara for me personally ... but there may be one for one of my Shepards.

I have read your views, which don't work for me, but I'll keep checking back to see if a player has a twist that would work in one of my playthroughs. The game is all about storytelling & replayability for m. I just require that the choices make sense to that Shepard in play,.

Good luck in ME3.

That is enough for Grunt. He is an intelegent Krogan, a brute but and intelegent one. I doubt he would call Justicar a ****, and would be familiar with her ways by that point. Also everyone is just going to facepalm, ofcourse, go home guys nothing to see here... No one of my squadmembers that i completed all loyalty missions for, and became buddys with, will try to rage-kill Morinth, nobody will try to stop her, nobody will want her dead because she sabotages the best bet for galaxy to survive, no cerberus agent on the ship would want to take her for TIM study. Come on...

Yes, Grunt is intelligent. He would know well enough that if name-calling got you killed under Justicar code, Samara would kill nearly everything surrounding her.

And no, they won't just facepalm. They'll be sad, anguished, confused, and so will "Samara", ...until she sneaks away of course. Of course they can try to catch her again, but it took Samara a dedicated 400 years just to catch up with her. If she's as god as the lore makes her out to be. The Reapers will be out and about long before they catch her again.

I think you believe that you have a crew of idiots. You believe that Morinth would doom the galaxy ( which includes her own life ) for a ****, and believe that the rest of the crew would't get what happened. Joker had his thoughts on Morinth being reqtuited, Kelly had thoughts, Kasumi knows and will reveal that. Grunt knows that something changed in "Samara". Morinth could **** Shepard a long time ago in her appartment.

What?

Kelly had thoughts, Kasumi knows and will reveal that.

Woohoo, Kelly thinks! And Kasumi has no solid proof, from what we can tell from implications in her dialouge, she just stealth sneaks around the ship alot.

Grunt knows that something changed in "Samara".

So?

Morinth could **** Shepard a long time ago in her appartment.

Again, the thrill of entrapment.

OP's first adjective was "hotter," kinda implying he was looking at her as a LI.

I only saved her in one of my playthroughs cause I just like Samara so much. One of my top 3 fav. new squaddies from ME2.

Look. The crew knew about Samara's loyalty mission. They all knew that Shepard went to Omega to deal with Morinth. They knew what Morinth did, as implied by Joker. They would know what happened to Shepard, they have no love for Samara.
What you are basically saying is that a crew member could kill Shepard and get away with it. No that is not how it works. I do not think that what you suggest is a possible outcome of the situation.
